Good idea, i just played 8+ hrs of comp pvp and not one time did i hear a crimson. Not once that says alot

True but thats the problem, you should be able to use any weapon that suits your style of play and be successful. Im not saying you should dominate but you should be able to at least fill you are not punishing yourself by using A weapon as intended. I say intended because obviously using a sniper as your main might be tough unless you are really good at sniping, and using weapons in their correct situations. I hate and love destiny i just want it to get better for everyone.

Quickplay is for using what you like. Competetive is what it says, people wanting to get the higest odds of winning, you will never get any variation in the tools used except when the meta changes. Of course there are people who do better with their own stuff, but mostly the majority wilö go for the easiest solution.
