We know that there are many religions going back millennia before Christianity was founded, so since humans existed, god had obviously already done his creation since he has always been, so my question to Christians is this.
What was the right religion before he created Christianity?
Must of been one of them right? 🤷♂️

I’m not a historian but didn’t Christianity splinter off from Judaism after Jesus was crucified basically making Judaism the precursor to Christianity? Again, I’m not actually knowledgeable about these things, I just know that Judaism and Christianity are very similar aside from the belief in the divinity of Christ.

5 답변Judaism goes back a number of centuries before Christianity. Indeed, Jesus was born a Jew. As far as God's presence in time, I believe that C.S. Lewis has it right: if He can be omnipresent in three dimensions, He can be omnipresent in four. So, He is as present today as He was at the Big Bang, and will be at the Big Chill. Only it's all 'now' for Him.

2 답변작성자: Uncanny_Vale 7/19/2019 10:25:19 PMChristianity emerged out of Judaism. Jesus was a Jew. But the worlds oldest religion is believed to be Hinduism (or some form of it) which goes back to around 3000 BC. But there was also the ancient Egyptians, the Sumerians, The Minoans, The Jews etc. Stone henge predates the bible. Plus there’s all the prehistoric religions - cave paintings etc. Some cave paintings (depicting spirits) date back 30-40 thousand years. Edit: The earliest evidence found of religion is from around 70,000 years ago. So maybe we should all be worshipping the Botswanan snake god. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/offerings-to-a-stone-snak/
The discovery of carvings on a snake-shaped rock along with 70,000-year-old spearheads nearby has dramatically pushed back the earliest evidence for ritual behavior, or what could be called religion. The finding, which researchers have yet to formally publish, comes from a cave hidden in the Tsodilo Hills of Botswana, a mecca of sorts for the local people, who call it the Mountain of the Gods. "It's very big news," says Sheila Coulson, an archaeologist at the University of Oslo in Norway and leader of the study. Prior to the discovery, researchers had identified signs of ritual practice going back at most 40,000 years from sites in Europe.
7 답변God was always there. You’re implying that God was there BECAUSE of Christianity, and that’s definitely not true

1 답변The God of Christianity is also the God of the Old Testament. So that would be the Hebrew God Jehovah. But you already knew this....
