How does one improve in PvP...?
Where is the playlist where I can verse people of similar (and SLIGHTLY) better skill-levels?
I keep getting -blam!-ed in Quickplay, like absolutely DESTROYED. I hear Quickplay is "working as intended" because sweatlords need a place to "kick back and not try so hard" (which aparently means dropping 50+ bombs at my and my kinds (blueberries) expense. Really relaxing for all uf us I tell ya. Having a GREAT TIME being your -blam!-ing punching bag.
So then I hear the Competative playlist offers SKILLBASED matchmaking, so I go try that, obviously thinking I'll have games that are even. WRONG. DEAD WRONG.
I get to 608 Glory Rank (Whooo, yeah I'm THAT BAD, sue me)... and what do I meet? Not Forgotten, a pinacle weapon awarded for reaching Legend. THE TOP TEIR OF COMPETATIVE!!!
What's the "competative" part of having one of the worst D2 players facing off against a team of NF weilding Sweatlords....? Who's entertained by that?
How am I supposed to improve my gameplay against that, it's impossible to keep up.
If I'm trying to excell at math while still on the level of 1+1 being clunky and unintuitive, it's not gonna be fun for anyone if my peers are at the level of solving heat equations with neumann boundary conditions (google it if cunfused) AND WE ARE IN THE SAME -blam!-ING CLASSROOM!!
GIVE ME A PLAYLIST WHERE MATCHMAKING PRIORITIZES SKILLBASE PRIMARILY, CONNECTION SECONDARILY!
What is your experience with matchmaking? Do you think its Great or terrible?

작성자: JetEyeKnight 7/1/2019 10:03:46 PMOk a couple things. You're playing on a hunter that's not even fully leveled, so there are skills you haven't unlocked yet. Finish unlocking all the skills your hunter before stepping foot into the crucible. That's going to help a lot. Secondly, while Silicon Neuroma and Ikelos Hand Cannon can be good in the right hands, by no means are they meta weapons. You're going to have a hard time doing well with those. SBMM won't help you believe me. The only thing that changes is the connection is worse. You don't want to be matched with people on the other side of the world teleporting around. Bungie's convoluted version of SBMM doesn't match you with or against players of your skill level as it should. SBMM still matches you with a wide range of skill levels, they just try balancing an arbitrary total skill number on each side. This means you might have 1 god-tier player plus 5 really low-skill players vs 6 mediocre players. You might have 3 good + 3 bad players vs 2 good, 2 medium, and 2 bad players. It still ends up being lopsided and it's still no fun for anyone. Trust. The best thing you can do is focus on what you can control, and that's you. If you're serious about getting better start with your equipment. Use a gaming monitor. This was the #1 most important factor for me in going from a .8 k/d to a 1.6 k/d (2.2kda) player. The 1ms input lag is so much better than the 30-40-50 ms I was getting on my 1080p hdtv. It really really improves your response time. Make sure you have sufficient bandwidth and low ping. This is a big one. Play on an ethernet cable instead of wi-fi. It's more stable. Not sure if you play on console but using a controller with paddles really REALLY helps. You can revive players and pick up ammo while shooting and aiming. You can crouch shoot slide etc effortlessly. Besides that try not to blame other players and the weapons they use as an excuse for doing poorly. Ask yourself what you did wrong and learn from it. I play solo nearly 99% of the time and it helps you from relying too heavily on teammates. I think rumble is an excellent playlist to improve your skills.

Stick to playing comp. It's by far a more lax environment and much easier to improve your 1v1 engagements. Learning the game types and how to approach them are the best ways to improve your win consistency. Survival, countdown, clash, and control are to be attacked in different ways, but playing your life by breaking off engagements is the key to them all. The lower player count helps keep the chaos to a minimum, so there's that bonus, too. Being max level with all of your trees unlocked is best so you can play around with what suits you. Abuse the menagerie to farm for weapons, there's plenty of crucible worthy pieces available like dust rock, austringer, fixed odds, calus mini tool, erentil, etc. Just keep playing crucible with a mindset to play better.

38 답변PVP is broken because of what they have allowed. Camping shotgunners =aids. Blind firing smg users =aids. Shoulder charging titans with a shotgun and/or smg =aids. Horrific map design that allows these type of players to just sneak around and be productive. But when they get out in the open they are absolute garbage. The top tier players -blam!- about sticky grenades because they couldn’t run and shotgun anymore. Those should come back. When a person’s sole strategy is to run/blink/jump as high as possible in the air so that they can shotgun/blind fire smg you before you can kill them, then your game is broke. Zero skill. Just praying to god they get there before you kill them. Supers— why in the world is it ok to have friendly supers. If a super is used it should kill whatever it hits. Friend or foe. The nova bomb that is thrown in the middle of 6 people 2 of which are enemies and the rest are teammates shouldn’t just kill the 2 enemies. This would stop the no skill super users. Shoulder charge should drain your life when you use it. You certainly shouldn’t get a renewed shield. Bungie does have people that play this game, right?

Yep , people complained that they wanted to relax after a hard day of work and not play sweaty matches so they complained on the forums bout SBMM, the truth is they wanted to feel like big boys and make their lives more significant by stomping on others in the game. BTW these are the guys that probably complain that pve is too easy, ironic?

3 답변Not much angers me but when you get some random team apes that only run around with shottys then you msg them and say wow you can ape can you not use primarys, they then all change to mountain top recluse and proceed with this now ‘’non ape set up’’ which is actually more cancerous than ape shottys then send a msg back at the end saying you like that better 😂 wow some people are absolute scum trash in destiny, I liked it better when there were no pinnacle weapons, they should have just added a gun with awesome rolls like beloved QuickDraw snapshot type rolls into the crucible playlist random rolls, would’ve been better cause I mean most of the Pinnacle weapons are stronger than exotics and that’s not ok.

My biggest problem with crucible recently especially since I've been playing other games is that it feels slow and boring. Everyone is usually doing the exact same thing making me too use to strategies and how people play. If someone mixes it up it's rare but it does gain a compliment from me. It's just too much of the same thing over and over and over.

Quickplay is connection based. Comp is rank based (not skill based, which is why someone with a pinnacle weapon from a previous season can run into you). Iron banner is skill based. No idea on rumble or the weekly playlist.

4 답변If you mostly play the casual playlist and go into comp. you will get smashed. Maybe they should talk to someone at destiny stats, so they can try to figure out how to balance comp. vs quick play. If I'm getting smashed I tend to try and stay with someone and not feed the other team too many kills, which could be why matchmaking is so screwed up for me. I rarely get a lot of kills. I don't mind getting beat by better players and many times I learn from them. What most annoying right now is the lack of weapon diversity. Seems like you can use any hand cannon, but I'm having a hard time finding other classes of weapons that can kill in a reasonable amount of time. I don't have most of the meta weapons having taken the last 9 months off. Most of the matches feel like they last way too long. "5-minutes left..." no not 5 more minutes....

Crucible is at worst right now, with all these pinnacle rewards and such. If I were you I wouldn't worry about even trying comp, if you want the weapons go ahead but just remember there are a lot of weapons that are better than the pinnacle rewards, if you know how to use them properly. I can't really talk that much about comp considering I was in orbit for an hour trying to find a game and only found 1 other person. I get I'm at 0 cause I haven't been able to play it at all this season, but still I can at least find 1 match come on bungie.

작성자: DeVViLL86 7/1/2019 7:52:56 PMFrom what I know only quick play have sbmm maybe, idk sure I didn't developed the game, but some ppl say quick play have sbmm ( skill based matchmaking) even if is not true at all. Competitive No don't have sbmm, comp is about rank, again even if that is not true at all. 9 months ago I struggled for 6 months to get a pinnacle pvp weapon, I failed because matchmaking in this game is garbage. Yeah I am maybe garbage at pvp but most of the time I have positive kd. And if I compete against people of my skill I am pretty good. After 6 months of getting stomped I stopped playing d2. After a 3 months brake came back only to see no changes at all. Another thing is if you don't have annual pass you can't get into pvp anymore. The weapons we have, not the ones from annual pass, they are GARBAGE. So no annual pass = no good weapons = NO PVP. Yeah bungie love to punish the people who don't buy their dlc's. And is not the first time, remember with Warmind or Curse of Osiris, they cut the access to vanguard playlist for people who don't own that dlc. And I don't think I am wrong because after the dlc I remember me and 2of my friends want to play some vanguard and we can't get access to it because don't own the dlc. My friends deleted the game at that time and never came back to d2. If I am wrong someone correct me. Money, money, money 💵 Edit: I remember the good old pvp matches where 9 of 10 matches was fun!! Now 10 from 10 games are GARBAGE. Sorry if my English is bad I am from Europe.

I agree matchmaking is terrible, but I can tell you from experience, you never ever EVER E V E R want to prioritise Skillbase over connection. At least when you have a good connection you have a chance to hit your shot. Imagine trying to build your skill level while playing with those close to yours when your shots wouldn't even register anyways.

1 답변Yea it’s horribly bad.... in sports the middle school teams don’t play against high school.... colleges don’t play against the “pro” teams... Why is this any different??

3 답변As someone who doesnt think they are all that bad at pvp i agree. Walking into pvp is like volunteering for the hunger games except your the person who dies first. First off lets talk about how roaming supers literally command all the space in pvp. You dont even have to have skill or awareness, just randomly throw a homing hammer that also explodes in a 1hk aoe and you get garanteed kills. Next map design is literally only favorable to close range weapons. After that lets talk about how team shooting is still the best way to play because ttk is still kinda high just a smidge. This is my own personal gripe but lets talk about hoe the class thats main theme is mobility (hunters) are the slowest class in game. And before anyone tries to right me on this i would ask them to review that one vid of a dawn blade warlock literally flying across the edz in like 3 seconds while in super. Or how titans habe the fastest jump because of how it doesnt stop your momentum. Double and triple jump might be more accurate in terms of placement but they literally stop your momentum. Also supers having so much dmg resistance basically means they can run around the map for free and get free kills. Basically theu might taken out some of the ease of use stuff with the go fast update but it didnt move the needle much if we take a look back.

6 답변작성자: mja calg 7/1/2019 7:35:18 PMIt's a multi issue thing with Bungie. 1) Crucible (and all other shared activities) are Peer to Peer. With a collapsing population, Bungie has to match you against whomever is left playing, so Skill Based matching is basically impossible. I have been in Crucible matches where the players had gamer tag names in Chinese, Japanese, Slovak (likely Polish), English and Spanish (likely south American) and I'm in Canada. 2) The collapsing population means the people left playing Crucible love the game, are very experienced, have the best gear and know the maps inside and out. We haven't had a Crucible map Refresh in 7+ months, so theses sorts of people know all the spawn and choke points. 3) The people still playing are likely playing with their friends, so you're going to face 3+ people per team and that spells death for a solo player, especially if your using non meta weapons because some Bungie Bounty / Requirements forces you to use them. Basically Crucible is now an afterthought by Bungie. Don't expect it to ever get any better.

Where is the playlist where I can verse people of similar (and SLIGHTLY) better skill-levels? 1. Start off on Quickplay, 6 man if you have to. 2. Use confident plays, play it safe don't peak or rush as much. 3. Practice and try pushing using guns such as (The last word, Luna's, Recluse etc) Thanks!

8 답변Skill Based Matchmaking was originally in Destiny 2, in Year 1; that's what it was. The Community complained so hard about lag, because of people from other countries trying to play off US hosts (or vice versa) and Bungie took a poll, in essence. SBMM was removed in favour of CBMM, and now we have what we have - a game where there is no MMR(matchmaking rating) and instead judges solely off your connections.

작성자: EtherealKnight 7/1/2019 8:52:25 PMI mean you talked about meeting not forgotten at 608 but I purposely didnt grind competitive this season so your gonna complain because I'm unbroken and I have nf but I'm st the same glory as you and we matched together ? (I didnt match you just putting a point across) your obviously gonna get that stuff here and there like the difference is vastly different login to a account that's in legend then play q few games on that account I gurantee you'll change your mind Edit : I purposely didnt grind competitive to help my friend get his recluse and we 2 manned to fabled so why is it wrong that both of us at the same glory match up it resets every season and after doing everything theres no reason to hit legend so your bound to find skilled players that just havent touched comp
