How does one improve in PvP...?
Where is the playlist where I can verse people of similar (and SLIGHTLY) better skill-levels?
I keep getting -blam!-ed in Quickplay, like absolutely DESTROYED. I hear Quickplay is "working as intended" because sweatlords need a place to "kick back and not try so hard" (which aparently means dropping 50+ bombs at my and my kinds (blueberries) expense. Really relaxing for all uf us I tell ya. Having a GREAT TIME being your -blam!-ing punching bag.
So then I hear the Competative playlist offers SKILLBASED matchmaking, so I go try that, obviously thinking I'll have games that are even. WRONG. DEAD WRONG.
I get to 608 Glory Rank (Whooo, yeah I'm THAT BAD, sue me)... and what do I meet? Not Forgotten, a pinacle weapon awarded for reaching Legend. THE TOP TEIR OF COMPETATIVE!!!
What's the "competative" part of having one of the worst D2 players facing off against a team of NF weilding Sweatlords....? Who's entertained by that?
How am I supposed to improve my gameplay against that, it's impossible to keep up.
If I'm trying to excell at math while still on the level of 1+1 being clunky and unintuitive, it's not gonna be fun for anyone if my peers are at the level of solving heat equations with neumann boundary conditions (google it if cunfused) AND WE ARE IN THE SAME -blam!-ING CLASSROOM!!
GIVE ME A PLAYLIST WHERE MATCHMAKING PRIORITIZES SKILLBASE PRIMARILY, CONNECTION SECONDARILY!
What is your experience with matchmaking? Do you think its Great or terrible?

2 답변Its horrible no doubt. I have the occasional good game. Where I have fun. The best games are the close games. But of course, I always run into the meta. ANd I love metas! Theres nothing wrong with metas, just that they are prefered by the community. However, in destiny 2 the meta is overpowered. Thats wrong. I dont want to get butterflies in my stomach when I play comp. There no point in playing that part if I dont have fun. And by fun, I dont mean winning. I mean getting matched against people who are at my level.

1 답변Currently, part of the problem is the population of the Crucible. If there isn't a big population you're going to see more top tier players steamrolling their way through. Competitive is particularly low population wise and that playlist does prioritise rank before connection, especially at higher ranks. If I'm at 4000+ glory and cannot find a game of someone equal rank the game will find a game with someone of lower rank, sucks I know but even higher ranks need to play games. Hopefully next season Bungie bring some much needed life to the Crucible

1 답변I'm so sorry I play casually and yet end up the top player 99% of the time.. I'm so sorry for destroying you, getting the 'ghost medal' and the '20 kills no deaths medal' just by playing casually with usually 35 kills and up... 😢😢😢
😂😂😂😂 get triggered scrubs
First of, I think you;re missing a point important in the crucible, and that's the gear, the "level advantages disabled" thing is a fallacy as it does not deactivate the perks / masterworks / catalysts in that gear, clearly giving an edge over the opponent that have not accessed yet to this upgrades, second exotics some of which have some unique perks that really enhance some abilities available to the player while some others are....innocuous, third you're fighting with your connection to the game servers as latency have been an issue since....well since Destiny 1 launched, then you have the flawed mechanics being that hand cannons can overpower almost any other primary weapon on crucible and lastly start the "skill" of the player which I consider as "perseverance" because to get the item edge I mention you must grind a LOT. Now my suggestion to bring balance would be a playlist based on the player overall progress on the game (as a measure of the upgrade access a player can achieve depending on how much they progress), restrict the use of exotics on a certain playlist or use singes or modifiers like in the strikes to "invite" a gear rotation while participation on crucible

Yeah, it is a mess. I don't know why you can't search on either connection, either skill level, or getting in a match as fast as possible. Other than that: It is beyond me why Bungie introduced Not Forgotten: A 3 tapping hand cannon that has the range of a good pulse rifle. Great idea Bungie! Let's give the best players in the game the best weapon in the game! Where the bad and average players need to 4 or 5 tap, the best players can 3 tap. Wait, wait, let's also allow it in quickplay! Ugh.

I’m honestly thinking about quitting myself I’ve been playing destiny since day one and the pvp just keeps getting worse. But leave destiny and go to cod u actually have a fighting chance which I did for a year and then came back to destiny just to see that pvp got even worse so I’m pretty close to quitting again myself

6 답변Maybe it’s time for bungie to get rid of pvp and put the time & resources into something that matters

1 답변It's pretty bad. I just don't play unless there's something I want. I finish my business and go back to PvE.

7 답변Crucible in the Destiny games is/has been noted as the WORST PVP experience in all of gaming. Its horribly bad. Bungie has to include Crucible modes in Quest steps to force people into it just to keep it populated.

1 답변I had 0.3 KD in Destiny 1 and absolutely hated crucible, had a lot of games without single kill. Then I started thinking what I’m doing wrong and why I keep being destroyed. 60-70% of time it was bad placement and poor map awarness. Position yourself better, stick with at least 1-2 team mates and don’t rush into other teams fire. Another thing is to keep on moving and ’rotate’ around the map. You can’t really succeed by being at the same spot. If you start losing gunfight roll into cover and don’t peek. These tips alone I was able to get Luna and rise my KD a bit over 1.0 in comparison to D1. I still lose to good players because they are just better and that’s OK. But you can improve by practising.

Honestly the only way to get better at pvp is to play in a fireteam with people who are slightly better than you. Just follow their lead but use the guns youre most comfortable with not what the youtubes/streamers use.

작성자: Jebus Kreist 7/1/2019 8:58:35 AMThey tried skill-based matchmaking before, but people started complaining because Bungie couldn't into region-locking since the PVP playerbase is/was miniscule. Sweatlords, being sweaty tryhards with the tolerance of a drunk schizophrenic, imploded at the realization they were facing people with mildly higher ping than them. Bungie then made it connection-based so the playerbase wouldn't completely die for the easiest and laziest content they could throw at players to occupy them. Although right now I think it's filled with a plague of Sweatlords hanging out at low ranks to pad their stats. Along with questionably low-level/bad gear potatoes consistently plaguing teams and being dead-weight. I also despite garbo-tier weapons like Last-Word that are Defacto metas that can't properly be countered without just throwing another Last-Word at it or a Hail-Mary Fusion Burst/Shotgun Rush. Also just now, I got killed by a sniper when the only thing peaking around the corner was the bottom edge of their -blam!-ing cape. Good job Bungie you really outdid yourself when I thought the plague of cheesy roaming-one-hit supers that are near-useless in PVE wasn't bad enough.

2 답변작성자: sixty9tea 7/1/2019 8:40:34 PMIt's Bungies programming. Before you even step foot into a PVP match Bungie has already decided who the winner is going to be. Bungie wants you to think people are cheating or that the dreaded lag monster is getting you...but nope... it's all by design. And then you have a few games where you have a 6.0 KD.. and nothing can kill you... You've been there... where you're thinking I know I'm not this good... something must be broke with this game? And it is... Bungie broke it.

2 답변Where Bungie has fcked up... Having a rng based playlist instead allowing players to choose which type of game. Using Glory as a representative of skill. Not using data similar to data found at destinytracker or guardian.gg. Not using a predetermined tier system that completely seperates the PvP sweatlord neckbeard diabetes kings from the has-a-job-family-folks.

1 답변There is a slim hope that the PVP changes coming in Shadowkeep that should be announced over the summer will help it out. It’s clearly in a bad spot, and needs the help.

I play PvP QP for the challenge and the lulz. As a solo player these days, game outcome is a roll of the dice. I'm in no way a good player and as it stands I can go from 3.0 to a 0.2 in a blink of an eye. Great game, terrible game, I don't really care anymore. Love to wreck a guardian's kill streak though. Tee-hee! ;p Also love the weapon/game mechanics, nothing comes close to Bungie for that. Love the world. There aren't any games out there with those qualities, hence why I keep playing. On top of that, skilled players also have the best weapons and there is no way I'm going to spend the few hours of gaming I can afford doing tedious tasks 24/7 for a single weapon. That said, with the new customization system, hoping there will be ways to get perks that allow legendary to be pretty awesome without feeling the game is only for players who enjoy grind and chores as their pastime (requires 1000 headshots with a hand cannon while doing cartwheels and wearing Cayde's but-flaps, that's not even difficulty based, it's just time spent doing the same stuff over and over). Maybe the game will turn into RPGMMO complete grindfest? Who knows... Seems majority of players might be looking for that.

1 답변It’s always been horrible, if destiny had cancer then it can only be the crucible. Just do the smart thing and never go there or even speak of it again. It’s dead and spreading
-
2 답변And apart from that advice- your post is absolute drivel. If you’re awful at this game- suck it up..or stop playing entirely. Don’t try to make some inane argument in favor of skill based match making- the most abhorrent system ever conceived for matchmaking.

29 답변Is anyone else annoyed at how almost every person playing crucible all use these bot meta weapons like the last word, beloved, lord of wolves, austringer, and including armor like one eyed mask, and some others I forgot the name of. I just wanted to put that out there.
