The amount of people upset about the multiple chests glitch getting removed is honestly baffling to me. You didn’t expect for this to go unpatched, did you? This isn’t Bethesda, bugs are not features.
That being said,
I think the idea of there being 3 chests after the boss is killed is a good idea. Hell, I think there should be 5 chests in heroic so there’s actual incentive for playing it other than “here’s a sword, good for you”.
Edit:
For those who are upset that I implied that Bethesda is bad at patching glitches:
1) Have you seen Fallout 76???
2) Calm your tits, it’s a -blam-ing joke.
Edit 2:
The chest glitch was not intended, I go into detail in this post
Edit 3:
Well shit, this post got a lot of attention, and a lot of downvotes. Umm... thanks?

They let it pass through their quality control intentionally most probably to not delay the menagerie. You can't tell me that a company with that many employees didn't figure it out by themselves, especially if it happened in the past. Now they are acting like they've been super generous to not disable it immediately. And you are licking their balls for this BS, good job.

2 답변Waaallll... if anything, this glitch put to bed the age old question, "Do Bungie developers play the game?" B, "Sure we do! We play aaallllll the time!" Us, "Played the Menagerie?" B, "Hell yeah! The development fire team plays Menagerie what ten times a week!. Just for fun, mind you." Us, "Ever play with a team outside your little bubble at Bungie?" B, "Hell yeah! It's part of our employment contract. 'Developers must play the game with morons to establish a rapport, which aids in pubic relations." (Public, public, damn it!) Us, "Notice the 300 second timer at the end?" B, "Noooo, what timer?" Us, "The one at the end where you can run out of the picture a couple of times or more, and loot the chest. That timer." B, "No, no, there ain't no steeenking timer that long there. Weda seen it!" Us, "Oh. Ever wondered why some of the ahem... morons from outside the bubble, ran out and kept coming back?" Mutterings.... B, "We thought they were going to the toilet." Us, "You sure, absolutely sure you play this game... How the freaking hell did you not notice the extended timer?" More mutterings.. "Ummm... Actavision???"

14 답변작성자: chaos0720 6/29/2019 12:28:49 PMWhat's really pathetic to me is that nobody plays the game to enjoy it. Literally everyone wants to cheat and exploit their way in this imaginary race to be the first to max level or the first to having all the God rolls. But to what end? What will you do then? Hop in to crucible? But then you'll just cry when the meta switches and your current God roll becomes trash or get's changed by Bungie. And for those of you that will come at me with "Bungie content isn't fun." My response: then why the hell are you still playing? Go play something that is fun. And for those of you that use the excuse of "the time investment isn't worth 1 reward." I feel bad for you, this is a videogame. People with the mentality of the time investment isn't worth 1 rewards clearly are treating this game like a chore. Yes, I know that this is a loot driven game. I get that. HOWEVER, if you are literally just going through the motions to go through the motions, then you're not playing the game anyways, and your input really shouldn't be reflected when changes are made.... wait a minute... maybe that's why Bungie ignores most of the player base............................ But that's just my opinion... which I'm entitled to.. But knowing this place, there will be half of a dozen people ready to insult me for having an opinion different than theirs and then list any stretch of "errors" in my opinion.

4 답변Yeah they can fix something that the community is enjoying but won’t fix the lord of wolves problem first way to go such trash

2 답변I am not against the idea of having multiple chest at the end of Menagerie. But i think Bungie was right to patch it, Menagerie with its chalice his the most rewarding activity of the game. You can have a new legendary at each game! Wich other activity is as rewarding? Strikes? Nope. PVP? Nope. Gambit normal/Prestige? Nope. Reckoning? Yes and no, you can get legendaries at will, but only armours and only randomly. With Menagerie you can get the weapon/armour you want, everything you need to do is playing.
-
2 답변They do that but don't fix LoW or some other things that probably should be looked at first. Most people already have their god rolls by now anyway. Why even waste the time when most likely they'll introduce new bugs.
-
2 답변The whole deal is that the chest glitch is what makes the menagerie rewarding. Once you take that away it becomes much more akin to the forges. I still feel like the easiest and best solution is that for every encounter you complete an additional chest spawns at the end. This would make you have to work for your reward, but also you get a reward.

5 답변But is it really an unintended bug? Why is there a 400 second countdown timer at the end? There is no need for that. You kill the end boss, we are all in the same room. If you are in the back of the room, it takes roughly 5 seconds to get to the chest. But bungie wants us to stay in there for another 5 min after the activity ended. Something isn't right there.
-
9 답변Well, fixing this bug is basically tuning down the rewards. You should never tune down rewards. The whole idea is to keep your players entertained. Now it will just feel slow and pointless.

1 답변People like it the way it is. Changing it will make people less happy. The RNG is still shit even being able to pick what item you want with guaranteed masterworks. Even if it is unintended it's better than they designed it to be. People are already going to be "done" with the menagerie by the time they patch it. They're only hurting replayability and newcomers by fixing it so late.
-
LOL at the idea that people would be upset that you mentioned bethesda is known for their bugs. That is unquestionable fact that they are bug lords in everything they have ever done. Anybody that thinks otherwise is insane.
-
Because people want to cheat and think cheating makes the a game fun. I said as much and attracted a bunch of wackadoos thinking exploits and glitches make a game better. I expect some wackadoo to come here and try to philosophize some "reason" why it should stay.
