Hey there!
The destiny games have some amazing content creators on youtube and websites for the discovery of the lore.
Here is what I would recommend:
Youtube
There are a few youtubers who are amazing lore content creators.

These two are just some examples.
Website
There is a website where all the lore is accesible. It is called Ishtar collective (this isn't the only site tho) and it is really fast with updating their database. I would recommend to look around it some day, but I wouldn't dive into it directly. First, I would start with youtube videos.

But where should you really start?
It really depends on when you jumped into the game and what you know already.
If you haven't played Destiny 1, I would recommend to start with the basic lore from back than. And only the overhauling storyline. Going in-depth is amazing, but even better if you really know what there is being talked about.
So I would start with the Black Garden & the Exo-Stranger. This could be seen as the main lore from D1-main storyline.
After which I would suggest the lore of the Moon & Crota('s End). This gives you a basic understanding of the first Expansion (Dark Below) lore.
Than we get the lore of the Reef, the Reef Wars, (Trials of) Osiris, Battle Of Twilight Gap, Battle of the Six-fronts, the House of Wolves / Skolas & the Awoken. The lore of the second expansion (House of Wolves).
Than we get to some major lore, reaching the Taken King Expansion. First I would recommend the basic lore of Oryx, the taken and the Dreadnaught. Than I would suggest the Books of Sorrow (You should have enough global knowledge of the hive to really understand it.)
You could do TTK-April Update lore, but it isn't really important overall (I do suggest it tho).
Before you go to the Rise Of Iron lore, I would recommend that you get a quick reminder of the House of Devils (fallen) lore.
Let's talk Rise of Iron shall we? We have: The Iron Lords, SIVA, Devil-Splicers and Wrath of the Machine Raid Lore. (These are really the basics, The Iron Lords and Siva can go really in-depth, so you should just look into it as much as you want/can.)
This was everything you really needed to know from D1. From this point on you can get in-depth to any of these themes as much as you like to.
Dredgen Yor (Thorn), Shin Mal Fur (Last Word), Faction Wars and the Nine are some amazing stories.
I don't want to scare you, so I will post what you should look into for D2 lore at a later date.
Hopefully it was a little bit helpfull (and not too overwelming or anything <3).
