Gyrojet Rocket Pistol
The video linked was the shortest video i could find that briefly explains how the weapon works and gives a demonstration. go to the 1:40 part of the video for the gyrojet pistol review.
The gyrojet pistol was an actual invention of the 20th century. it was designed to give soldiers a tactical and miniaturized rocket launcher. However, it was a failed and very flawed weapon which was not mass produced. The weapon fires small rocket propelled projectiles instead of conventional bullets.
Although it was a real life failure of a weapon, I would like for it to be in the game. you could come up with lore around how the weapon was a failure but with the travelers light it became a solid and reliable tool in the hands of a guardian.
This unique exotic weapon would be a hybrid of sidearms and rocket launchers.
[u]Exotic Weapon perks to choose from[/u]:
- Exploding rounds: small rounds detonate on impact.
- Full metal Jacket: rounds do not detonate, but are more dense and puncture through shields and deal more physical damage.
- Sticky rounds: small rounds that stick to an enemy and have a delayed explosion
[u]Other perks[/u]:
- increased velocity
- blackpowder
- bigger magazine
- guided rounds: small rounds can track targets

They work, but the project was extremely rushed, so quality and reliability took a major dump. For a gun in Destiny, like everyone said, it is literally what the Cabal use. So a Human version of the Cabal gun would be pretty cool. It is funny however since we already have this in the game: Skyburners Oath. Having a more refined version, without the insane bullet drop, and lack of RPM would be neat.

Kind of cool for Destiny. But the only real new perk would be the guided ammunition. Well, Jötunn has that, but anyway. Something like Zorg’s gun from The Fifth Element would be fun. (Needler from Halo games would be somewhat lackluster, though.)
