Why only Nokris?
It bothers me the emissary says “king and his son” referring to oryx and nokris.
Was bungie lazy about Crota? Was the drifter gone so long he never saw Crota, but met nokris?
Even then, the emissary should have addressed Crota in some way. Surely there has to be a reason Crota was ignored unlike his brother.
Anyone got an opinion or idea for this lore?

Despite the heresy, Nokris does seem to take after Oryx more than his football jock big brother. Both have inquisitiveness as their primary attributes. Both are looking for ways out of final death and likely out of the original worm god pact. I think that’s the ‘path’ that the emissary is saying the Drifter is following. Crota’s really the black sheep of the family in that respect. I bet he spent more time with Auntie Xivu than with his own family.

[spoiler]also drifter mentions the great disaster on the moon so he knows about Crota the likeness of Nokris is probably due to Nokris being a more recent threat[/spoiler]

1 답변I wish that the The Swords fight was the likenesses of Nokris and Crota working together to kill us back... [spoiler]the mechanic would be that Nokris snipes from the back and Crota rushes you, damage done to one is done to both and by dealing enough damage you stun the other (so in this case you start by unleashing Supers and Special on Nokris and then when Crota gets stunned you use Heavy to damage to him) this way skilled players are rewarded by chaining stuns.[/spoiler]

22 답변<Let's be fair, Crota was a moron. His contributions ended at "causing the Great Disaster, calling Oryx, and being Oryx's favorite son". Crota did nothing else of significant work to improve the Hive as a species. Nokris found a way to dodge the Sword Logic by resurrecting people without rituals. Oryx found a way for the Hive to completely mop the floor with entire civilizations by calling on the Deep and ripping people from this dimension and putting them back as possessed demons. Crota had a nice sword. Also, it IS possible that the Drifter wasn't around for the Great Disaster or Crota's demise. He only came back to the City after the Red War... like after Ghaul died, not Ca'uor.>

3 답변The real reason is because Crota would have the same AI as the Swords and that'd be redundant. Not to mention a melee only primeval in Gambit would be a nightmare.
