RNG
Broken AF
You see how these two things contradict each other, right...?
Random
Number
Generator
That first word there. Random.
There's a 10% chance it drops per key. All that means is that every time you use a key, REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY KEYS YOU'VE USED, an invisible wheel of luck spins.
The wheel has a number of spaces on it, the spaces all different sizes depending on the drop chance of every item it offers.
1k takes up 10% of the wheel space.
If it doesn't land on the 1k space, then that's that. Your next key doesn't take into account previous attempts. It behaves as though you've never used one before.
So.. no. The RNG isn't broken AF. It's working exactly as it should. What you're looking to complain about is the lack of a drop threshold/bad luck protection in raids (which they don't need, raids are endgame content afterall and should be grindy).
I got 1K on attempt #15.
I got Glittering Key on attempt #20.
I got Anarchy on attempt #4.
I got Always on Time on attempt #6.
RNG is inconsistent. That's the whole point.

작성자: FauxPhox 5/23/2019 4:29:11 AMLol, Random is in the acronym. RNG is an algorithm that allows a computer to achieve the closest possible thing it can to something "random". Just because it's not 100% random doesn't mean that there's some drop threshold in place that inevitably guarantees you a particular drop. Every attempt is a fresh start at getting what you want. You think because some friend of yours talks about going 80+ tries without getting something and a newbie gets it on his first go you lean towards there being something wrong. That's not proof.

My question is: Why would they bother posting drop rate adjustments if that's the case? Part of some grand scheme to make everyone think that their game has normal drop mechanics? Lol It sounds like a bunch of paranoia. I had overall shit luck in D1. Didn't get Mythoclast until Y3. My account is the same. My luck this game around is much better on average.
-
Same here as for better drops but the system is broken since if it's a %5 chance that's 1 out of 20 so it is always 1 out of 20 even if you have completed something 100 times. I try not to spend my free time gambling for some inconsequential item in a game. I'd be happy with more transparency.

작성자: icebluekasha 5/22/2019 11:26:09 PMWrong, dude. I have put in a fair share of clears. I never expected to get it on the first try or the second or even the third. If it wasn't for the fact that I have members of my fireteam getting multiples back to back to back, it probably wouldn't piss me off as much. Same shit happened to me with Crux of Crota in D1. I did many clears of it before I finally had it drop. Same shit. Just tired of it is all.

Sorry, if you can't comprehend my point. I am saying that this RNG is frustrating. On top of it, we are limited three times a week and I don't agree with it. It makes you want to rage when folks get multiple drops and you don't. Hell, open it up to do as many clears a week as you want. Then if I wanted to do it over and over on my day off, like trying to farm for NF special drops, so be it.

LMFAO if I wanted to pull a real flex I'd stoop to your level and type two to three sentences and demean other people. I got four Anarchy drops before my 15th completion. Git gud scrub. 👌 But I didn't do that. I broke it down. Then compared my personal drop thresholds for a comparison. I didn't get anything on my first try for anything. There are plenty of people who have been so lucky. Minimal effort, like I had some say in the matter lol - It took me over 40 Ascendant Challenge completions until I got the Starlight Shell. That had a lower drop % than any of the items I mentioned getting had prior to the fix. Get over yourself, and mind your business if you can't contribute without being a douche.

You got it -blam!-, because me saying I got something hurts your feelings oh so badly. Don't forget your shitty opinion of me only doing 30 raids to get all exotics null and voids my opinion on the matter. If only you knew how to participate in a thread instead of starting off like the piece of shit you are, the Destiny forums would be a better place. Here's to hoping you've got no good drops from raids, and here's to hoping you never get any. 👌

There is grind and then there is just plain ridiculousness. 3 1Ks in less than a week to drop for one person is ridiculous. Why not make it a quest like other exotics? Adjust the difficulty of the quest steps based on the power of the exotic.
-
It's not ridiculousness. It's luck being in someone's favor. Also what makes you think they'd suddenly change their minds about how you get an exotic several months after the fact? With the exception of Acrius, no exotic rarity item in D2 raids are guaranteed. Telesto Catalyst. RNG. Sleeper Catalyst. RNG. 1K. RNG. Anarchy. RNG. Contender Shell. RNG. Luxurious Toast. RNG. Always on Time. RNG. All you can do is hope future content with exotics - weapons or otherwise - come with a simplified means of getting them.
-
There absolutely should be progression on the drop rate It's pretty ridiculous someone can hit rivensbane within 5 raids while another player cant after 500 soley due to RNG I'm rivensbane and had 1k and anarchy drop within my first 5 runs each and even I can see that's pretty busted

I had a problem with Cursebreaker and RNG. I didn't get the Dreaming City shell or ship (Ascendant Challenges/Shattered Throne) until after the drop rate adjustment. I got the shell the second week in, and the ship the first time Throne came back around. I did those two activities on all three characters every single week possible from the day they came out until I got what I needed. Any game with a drop system based off of a spin of a wheel that can give dozens of potential rewards doesn't really need a guarantee. While it would be welcome to a lot of people, it completely takes away from the repetitive nature of the game. Bungie has that to hook people in. If someone has bad enough luck to where they're on attempt #100+ to get something.. They've done it that many times. And dealt with it. Granted they had no other choice in the matter when it comes to getting something that they're interested in but that's the whole thing. You either do it and grind it out until you get it or you give up and stop. The majority of this game caters to the former. It is what it is. They've already adjusted drop rates for so many things at this point that it's extremely unlikely that they'll ever touch on it again. So get that grind going.
-
They 100% should have guaranteed drops at a certain point. You may be fine with grinding endlessly for a item you only need for a title, majority of players aren't At a certain point the items should drop, especially ones tied to a 3 chances per month activity

Item you only get from the Queenswalk chests. After you get it you do another Last Wish run, but before starting you enter Wish #2 to spawn a chest that'll appear in-between Morgeth and the Vault. Chest only gives the raid ship, nothing more.
