Is Sexuality immutable, or fluid?

1 답변Don't think I've ever heard of someone that's lgbt or whatever go (back) to being straight. Though it's not something you can really make confident claims on unless you've been there yourself. But my guess is people just realising their orientation at some point.

I had my first heterosexual intercourse with my ex gf at 17 and now I'm 23 with the same girl since I was 20. She knows about that "thing" I did in my past. So yeah I consider myself straight, but when I first started discovering my own sexuality I "experimented". I guess I am overall heterosexual but I did experience bi-curiosity, if that makes any sense. [b]edit[/b] I don't know if it can change though. I don't see myself going back to what I did when I was 13 now that my sexuality is pretty cemented to me. My guess would be that once you acquire a good "taste" of what you like regardless of how much you experimented other things, it may very well remain static.

1 답변I’m inclined to say it’s fixed and that we don’t discover it till exposed to certain ideas or stimuli. However I’m also inclined to say it’s fluid for the same reason.

sexuality in terms of chromosomal make up is static if you have both X and Y you are biologically male If you only have X you are biologically female, in terms of preference and or attraction that's an entirely different matter, this is 2019- Gay is OK... and sexual preference/ orientation [u]can[/u] change.

9 답변작성자: Uncanny_Vale 4/18/2019 12:10:43 PMI would of thought it can’t change. You are what you are - whether that’s straight, gay or bi. But I do think people sometimes repress their sexuality. I think plenty of people (especially in the past) have convinced themselves they are straight when they are really gay. That’s not really changing your sexuality though. That’s more just self delusion (consciously or unconsciously).
