Been playing this game for years now, but I've only tried the raids a few times. Am I the only one that thinks they are silly? Players have to learn a bunch of rediculous tricks. Stand here and every player must jump at the same time, then shoot this thing when the flying puppy winks, now turn your controller upside down and shake it.
Why can't they just be challenging unique strikes or something? What's with the Easter Egg search? Never tried the Raid Lairs. Are they less silly?

1 답변Raids should be fun to play, have top tier rewards and ultimately move the story along either as a precursor to upcoming events (Vault of Glass / Crota's End) or to wrap up the story (King's Fall / Wrath of The Machine) D2 had players go to The Leviathan and had a WTF ending and set up a possible spy in The Tower, this went no where. Players would go back for two more Raid Lairs that had seemingly nothing to do with anything and didn't feel connected with the DLC they came with. I just don't think Raids and FPS games don't work, FPS players want to shoot stuff not stand still and raise chains up, play hide and seek with dogs or figure out what order symbols go in to progress. I love Raid activities in ESO and Final Fantasy XIV hate them here though it feels completely forced,, another way this game tries to be everything to everyone but instead ends up lacking in all areas.

The issue is that they cater to social play. With the dwindling player base is a little harder to get groups together. Unless you are already part of clan or firetime. At this point they should make them a little more accessible for casual and loose play. The dungeons are a good example. To me it doesnt matter i lfg which has always been a decent experience. Its not as bad as people make it. The first few weeks it can be a little stressful but after that Guardians start helping the community. I think they need to focus on making the raids fun challenging but accessible

You are dead on. It was a problem with D1 raids that got exploded going into D2 raids. I’m D1 I use to LFG all the time, got random teams, some good - some bad. But you basically could pull through with any ragamuffin team you joined. But D2 raids haven’t gotten to mechanical and your team has to be tight.

6 답변personally, I enjoyed the more laid back, easy d1 style raids. Take down the shield, shoot the boss, some fun jumping puzzles, etc. I'm here to shoot a boss with some buddies not solve a fckin rubix cube

1 답변While never a massive fan of the raids, I have been so disinterested in the D2 raids that I never even bothered with Last Wish or the new Scourge one. It is possible that they are different but the Lev raid and raid lairs just were not fun for me nor gad any worthwhile rewards. I like the idea of challenging strikes though, Shattered Throne was pretty fun. To me, the raids are not challenging, they are merely exercises in tedium, not a challenge of skill.

I think they have become increasingly convoluted. Like death defying, timed synchronized swimming. The lore/story behind them is usually really good, but they are one of the most annoying gaming experiences I’ve encountered. I’d take only a single weekly reward for a version that is actually fun that is more like a strike any day.
Why can't they just be challenging unique strikes or something? What's with the Easter Egg search? Never tried the Raid Lairs. Are they less silly?
Raids are extra difficult because they challenge players with difficult + complex encounters to justify the near-game-breaking loot waiting for them at the end. This is why you will never see gear on the same level as One-Thousand-Voices in any random strike -- it is much too powerful to be given out like pennies. You will only see it on raiders blessed with extreme perseverance and RNG-luck.

5 답변Mechanics are meant to test your skills at communication, teamwork and coordination. It’s just another form of skill; shooting ads and hiding behind walls or whatever is not the only form of skill there is. I could also ask what’s the point of pointing my mouse and shooting some ugly creature? Raids for me (and many others) are fun specifically because of the teamwork required.

8 답변작성자: ThelProfessorl 3/4/2019 3:31:49 PMTranslation: I'm a casual who doesn't want to bother learning any mechanics or "challenging" fights, I just want strikes. There's nothing "silly" at all about the raids except for the gauntlet in leviathan. The mechanics and teamplay are what make them unique. Leviathan isn't the only raid in D2, there are 4 more.

6 답변I haven't done SOTP at all ... but in general, D2 raids seem much more mechanical and less forgiving than D1 raids.

5 답변That's why I haven't raided at all in d2. I feel kings fall was the best balance of mechanics and killing. You had to do certain things, but it was never unbearable. Wrath of the machine pushed it and was borderline chaos with everyone running around, but it still made sense. The gauntlet ruined the whole experience for me, and it's just progressively gotten worse. Symbols, puzzle pictures, and maps.....not my cup of tea.

Would you prefer the end game of Anthem? Basically, just 3 strike like dungeons, where they just make the bosses more bullet spongy to add difficulty? My raid team fell apart after D1, so haven't raided in D2, but raids in D1, were six of us real life friends getting together on a weekly basis, to shoot the shit, and accomplish some challenging but fun content. The Vault of Glass, Crota's End, and King's Fall, are some of the best console gaming I've ever experienced. Sadly, real life responsibilities, ie getting married, having kids, and work schedule changes led to the end of those great times. In D2, I have settled for watching my favorite streamers strive for world's first. Which is still pretty entertaining.
