Do you guys think destiny as a franchise deserves its own engine? In 2008 it was confirmed bungie was working on a new engine aka destiny’s engine however they obviously quit that for a modified tiger engine, then in destiny 2 a even more modified engine, at this point I think bungie just needs a new engine for destiny. It’s been around 2 games now it deserves its own engine. This way they can make high frame rate pvp possible, have a more open world experience, and better graphics for next gen consoles, let me add that destiny 3 will most likely be the last destiny since bungie is no longer contracted with activision. They will continue to evolve the game like wow. I think since this will be the last destiny they might as well go all out with their engine. And not use a modified crappy tiger engine used on a ps3 game for the ps5 lol. Don’t get me wrong destiny graphics are fine however they could be better and core game issues like lack of content because of a poor engine a problem that has effected the meta, aka waiting for nerfs and buffs for months at a time with a new engine we could get them weekly, also I have a theory that bungie has been working on a brand new engine for destiny since destiny 1 launch and will finally use it for destiny 3. We will see. I know it takes years to make a brand new engine. So if they are just able to make a new engine now that activision is gone no... just modify the tiger engine. Considering it worked for Titan fall and cod pretty sure it would work for bungie however what’s better a old car that’s up to date with rims, engine, and other things you get when updating a car OR just a brand new car.
