When you say goodbye
And the community reminds you why you'll never be back.
The worst part of destiny is the toxic community.
Honestly the fact that every time I got into a debate it ended with random name calling, and absolutely no exchange of information, and usually it was someone wanting to 1v1 me to solve it.. like..ok??? You really think looking up the best build on YouTube and corner camping with dust rock blues is winning an intellectual debate...
Ah nvm..
That's why I'm leaving and staying gone.
This community needs to die off...and be remade without all the constant -blam!-ry.

7 답변Adding posts like this add to the “toxicity”. If you were to walk into a popular store, grab the mic and say, “I hate this store, I’m leaving”...would you expect everyone else in that store to just start clapping and begging you stay?

3 답변I made a post similar to this and the kind of people I referred to proved my point exactly. Make toxicity known on a post and it'll just get responded to with more toxicity. I guess it's not just the Destiny forums but society in general these days. Just best to stay quiet unless you have to speak.

You captured the essence with your remark “they want to 1v1 you” Exactly where the toxic comes from, the try hard sweaties who need to impress their dominance on to others to feel good about themselves. They spout in here like they’re the be all and end all, anything they say is gospel and you’re an idiot if you disagree. They must have the last word because you can’t possibly have a valid point. I would hope they’re kids still stuck in the alpha male struggle but I fear some are well grown up and still struggling to be comfortable in their own skin. A lot of them are on my mute list, still plenty more to add though.
