This is not a rant nor a salty post.
I am aware that the idea of bringing in new weapons for the hardcore fans, was a great idea.
The idea to grind for something is awesome and it finally gives us a goal again to play things like comp or gambit.
But, guns like luna's howl and for the very good players Not forgotten, are dominating the crucible.
You can't play one game without at least 2 or 3 people playing with the same load out. Luna/NF, dust rock blues, warcliff coil.
Of course it is the choice of the player but I think bungie made the mistake of making these weapons not just visually amazing and different but also stat and power are better then most weapons in the game.
Basically what Bungie did was to give the best players and even better OP weapon with the fastest kill time. this makes these players almost unbeatable.
Again, these players should be rewarded for their dedication and skill, but this wasn't really thought trough. I think the look and sound of a pinnacle weapon in PVP should be enough, or maybe ornaments to weapons to show off skill. OP weapons create the new meta.

12 답변You hereby state you just run into so many people with lunas ans NF's. I have been killed by them so many times, but its not in every single game. The thing is people who have their lunas are good players (apart from the recovs. Screw those guys), when you see the work that has gone into acquiring the weapon. I got on the grind awhile back. It was painful. But I have my luna now. Do I regret it ? Absolutely not ! It was well worth my time and effort, but seeing people, who have not gotten theirs because they maybe do not want to grind or dont have time, complaining can be annoying. If Bungie nerfs luna and NF, they are just going to ruin the countless hours that players have spent getting the guns.

You’ve got the right idea the weapon should not be locked behind crucible just the prestige of being good so ornaments emblems and titles but not the weapons themselves. If your a good player and believe that’s it’s a skill game the you will win you matches against less skilled players no matter what weapons the bad player has.

1 답변Honestly they need to pull a Redrix Broadsword type quest for the Luna. I have Luna’s Howl and it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. Either that or make things that can at least complete with it. I feel like a scumbag using Luna in quick play so I just only use it for iron banner or comp

2 답변작성자: lCertifiedl 2/24/2019 7:04:15 PMPinnacle weapons are awesome in PvE, I want more for that side of the game. PvP is a strange one, as PvP players wanted loot to chase so bungie have said loot and now it's the worst thing ever. Luna's TTK is so marginally better than the next set of guns I don't think it's really that bad. The only way to do this properly is to separate the game modes, PvP dictates the games ability's and weapons way too much. Anyone who says Luna or NF are the only options are just talking nonsense, strong but not that strong.

4 답변when you cater to all levels of gamers, an make something for all level of gamers you will have disparity between them. Last I knew Luna or NF does not shoot across the map like the golden age of Hawkmoon. So change your tactic, equip your GL or Jade or even sniper or heck a Bow an tap them in head. They'll get the point. HA!

4 답변작성자: SquareCubiC 2/25/2019 12:42:38 AMsomething i really dont understand, on one hand, people are uncontent with how hard it is to acquire pinnacle weapons, yet it seems to be that common, that people actually feel motivated enough to complain... So, IF these weapons are so hard to acquire and only a small percentage has them, how unlucky can you be to run into them over and over again? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And if there are so many people who have those weapons, why do you not have it? I took the grind as well, all solo, i am by no means a great pvp player in Destiny 2, but i got my Lunas, been a grind, really, but i managed it (having a fairly demanding job and quite some real life going on, so i am not no lifing the game at all). Am i invincible now? no, because i dont have NF /s for real tho, just TRY and play comp if you want to get the same loadout... and once you made it, you will see, the game is actually not different at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ No offense, but someone who kills you with NF will kill you with any other weapon just as likely, people with NF (and Lunas to some extent) are putting effort into improvement of their skills, such as map knowledge, situational decision making, (radar) awareness, aim etc. It's not the gun that kills you, it's the player Sidenote edit: a warlock with a duke can actually 2 tap people ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ nerf warlock rifts now? :P
Of course it is the choice of the player but I think bungie made the mistake of making these weapons not just visually amazing and different but also stat and power are better then most weapons in the game.
I just want to point out that i fail to see how that is a mistake. They do something good and you tell them it's a mistake?
this makes these players almost unbeatable
They already were from your perspective. They simply use the best TTK weapons, no matter what weapon that might be. So the name of the gun that kills you changes, but they will still kill you, because they are better.
OP weapons create the new meta.
You're telling me the grass is green?

3 답변Pinnacle weapons are a neat idea on paper but in practice they are either stupid over powered god guns Luna's Howl or they are just trash and you wasted your time getting it Redrix or Loaded Question or it is just meh like Breakneck.

2 답변Everything you said is misguided but not off.Meta are what destroys modes like quickplay because lets face 90%of the players the play quickplay are just jff guardians and aren't taking it seriously at all i mean its supposed to be quickplay. The mida, last hope, and rocket pack had the same effect as this one.You can't destroy meta because by its very definition its the best and strongest option around so of course thats what people are going to go for.The pinnacle weopon jazz only intensified this because now it separates the dedicated and casual and dedicated wins every time.Meta exists in all games people either need to play meta or learn how to anti meta.Jff no longer exists in games.

These problems are going to exist as long as sbmm isn't implemented in QP. Sbmm ensures that if you bring a pinnacle weapon into pvp and start placing at the top every game you will be reshuffled into a higher bracket until you start to even out. That way the 12 kill guys are matched with 12 kill guys instead of always having a 30 kill guy dominating with the pinnacle weapons and forcing everyone to chase the meta. I think QP should be sbmm and solo que only since it's supposed to be "laid back". Right now it's only laid back for the top 30% or so and for teams. The majority of players aren't having fun. Competitive is a misnomer. Competitive would be no sbmm at all and teams preferred. If you want a hardcore experience where the strong dominate the rest, competitive is where it should be. Quickplay should be renamed Solo Que Casual and should be a place for all players to play against the people of their own skill group in a chaotic mess of freedom.

Which is why I like the broadsword quest it’s more available to the other percent of players that don’t have the time to just do like say the mountain top questbir Luna’s howl/ not forgotten quest And there should be more of these long but easy quest for pinnacle weapons that way both the certain % can do the hard but short quest and the other % can do the long but easy quest
