Before anyone freaks out just hear me out.
The reason wormhusk was so annoying in the past was due to the lower ttk and double primary. Worm Husk was never overpowered, it wasnt instant max health like OEM. It just started health regen and if you were in a firefight one shot would stop the healing instantly. There are so many ways to one shot these days, if you win your firefight a quick heal putting you back in the fight faster would be nice. The way worm husk is now might have worked before the entire loadout system changed but now its really useless. The old wormhusk is similar to what the new OEM is gonna be except you get no tracking and no overshield. Yes you dont need to get the kill to start health regen but tracking is a massive advantage in a firefight and you dont get that with wormhusk.
Edit: Im gonna emphasize this again because most people just seem to have ptsd from wormhusk and don't seem to be considering the weapon changes. The ttk + the 1shot weapons would mean that wormhusk users wouldn't be able to just run away and heal like they used to. Dodging in a firefight will get you nothing because the healing is stopped immediately when shot. Again the viable use would be to heal after an encounter so you can be back in the fight quicker

If all you are looking for is a quick heal to get back into the gunfight faster well you've already got that. Wormhusk will give you a nice chunk of your health back every 7 seconds. Only way I'd be down with it is if dodges were bumped up to a dodge every 25 seconds with full mods on your armor and like 40 seconds without mods.

7 답변Everyone opposing this forgets that wormhusk was so prevalent during a time when the game was still running on a dual primary weapon system. That, and the TTK was much slower. Fast forward past Forsaken, and we have a much more diverse and stronger weapon system, and the TTK is super fast now. It honestly wouldn’t be that bad.

4 답변OEM was tolerable to me because it required a kill to be fully rewarded. With Vengeance on, it's just Foetracer. Wormhusk gave you your health back in 2-3 seconds and your dodge was back in less than 20 seconds. Regardless, Bungie just needs to buff more exotics and stop nerfing.

I don’t think it needs to be returned to its extremely powerful state. If the current TTK of the crucible would stop it from being too strong, what’s the difference in how it works now? It would still be overpowered for Primary gunfights, and in a meta where one-shot weapons and such low TTK weapons, I personally don’t want any more situations that force using special weapons. The last thing I want is the Crucible to turn into D1 Y3, worst Crucible ever. I miss D2 Y1. Unpopular opinion I know, but I liked it.

If they ever do this, there should be a 15 secs cool down to stop any potential abuse and it shouldn't work within supers. Even witg those changes, it would be an extremely powerful exotic. From someone's whose currently a hunter pvp main, hunters don't need another exotic to make them even more dominant than they already are.

2 답변When ursa furiosa is brought back to what it was. It doesn't feel good when an exotic you loved gets nerfed into the ground. While they're powerful and still able to be countered crybabies still get exotics nerfed. The only hope now is that joker's wild brings some good exotic that don't get nerfed. We wanted to feel powerful and imo we got that ( ursa, blade barrage , nova warp , shards of galanor, one eyed mask. One eyed mask is about to receive a nerf and as much as i want ursa furiosa buffed and one eyed mask to still be good sadly I can't have that. So yea Wormhusk should get buffed but not to what it was

I never even struggled with killing other wormhusk hunters. I had wormhusk myself but I could deal with the hunters using it without it. All you had to do to a wormhusk hunter in order to stop the regen was to basically breathe on the hunter. Any damage that they take from the moment they start the dodge to any point after that stops the regen. A well placed grenade will stop the regen and it may even kill them (depending on the grenade). You can even chase after them and stop it that way if you were close enough and they didn't run back to their team. It's not hard to stop regen, it's hard to try to stop the instant health and overshield that oem gets atm but it's getting nerfed soon so we'll wait and see what they actually do with the exotic

Yes and not really because with the OEM nerf coming there is no need but imagine in a fight with a hunter using wormhosk and he dodges to get his heath back then he shotgun rushes towards u and u can't do shit about because he is fully healed that wouldn't be fair or fun

Responses below are a perfect example of why PvP and PvE should be separated. Nobody ever said in a raid “it’s good that my teammate couldn’t quickly regenerate health and died instead” or spent thier time complaining that their other class teammates also had good gear that helped everyone win the fight.
