Making it like two separate games doesn’t seem appealing to people who may want to casually dabble in PvP or go in only for quests or to the developers who have to spend a much larger amount of time then creating two separate loot pools. I think d3 should be built from the ground up with long term, rewarding, pve based grinds in mind. I’d like to see one of those grinds include a system to level up your abilities and supers to make them better over time and to balance it for pvp they could simply make it so only the base ability/super stats are available on that side of the game. This would alleviate us feeling like our pve power is being taken away because we’d be making those things better over time and any balancing changes would only effect the original ability that we would have most likely outgrown and built upon in pve before those changes were made. With the drifter and ideas of dredgen/shadows of yor being reintroduced recently they could even add lore to justify that change because too many guardians were dying their final death in the crucible. If they did that it would alleviate almost all the ability balancing challenges they currently face leaving them to only worry about weapons.

Yeah now that I got this input I think a better system would be to just have pvp and pve random rolls when getting a gun pvp perks would be separate from pve perks the pve perks don’t effect pvp and pvp perks don’t effect pve

The rolls wouldn’t be any different though so what’s the point? Other than maybe some exotics and pinnacle weapons like Luna’s and NF weapons aren’t even currently a balancing issue that much. Many more people are unhappy with recent super nerfs which would be irrelevant with a system like the one I proposed.

I’m thinking about d3 too, I outlined a whole innovative system that would add longevity to the game and fix a major balancing issue. Sure they can add more good perks for pvp but with your example of the Luna’s howl perk, they already exist and that perk/weapon is one of the biggest balancing issue people have cause not everyone can get it so more perks like it probably isn’t the answer imo. I agree new perk options would be nice but if I had to choose between that and other revamped systems I’d choose the latter personally. Also, I don’t think it would be beneficial to create new perks to cater specifically to one side of the player base.
