I finally completed the quest. Holy Crap it was long. But man after that grind of a lifetime this gun does not deliver for the effort put in. I’m trying to find the good in this gun but honestly this makes me hate this game more than ever... I literally wasted a whole season of time grinding for it. Makes me sick...

1 답변Best pvp role I've found Is arrowheads sight and ricochet rounds with a target adjuster mod on it. Its not meta but certainly a viable gun if you work it well.

It has the FASTEST time to kill of all the pulse rifle archetypes WITHOUT its unique perk desperado. With desperado activated you can shut down supers and melt teams. I see a lot of people complain about it being bad but they don’t use it right you are supposed to be kind of passive so you can get the easy two burst then when you get desperado you rush aggressively and keep the perk going until you run out of enemies to kill

1 답변Parthian shot is 10x the pulse rifle broadsword could ever hope to be. Thing is atrocious along with the entire archetype. Much like high impact hand cannons, high impact pulses simple dont have a place in D2. Nowhere near as good as they were in D1.

It's really not that great in PVE. I used to tell myself it was with extended mag and backup mag to justify my grind for it but the truth is it just sits in the vault. At least Mountaintop does good damage.

2 답변I just tried using it in Escalation Protocol, and it's just not that great: maybe if Despacito automatically filled your magazine to full when it procs, it would be worthwhile, but relying on Outlaw to reload is often way too slow: I'd sooner use the fastest rate of fire PR like a full-auto Claws of the Wolf and just stand behind my rally barricade and mow things down than bother repeatedly trying to get precision kills just to proc Despacito. I've tried doing this with Redrix: proc Outlaw and Despacito, _then_ pop barricade and spam the trigger, but again, Despacito doesn't last long enough to make it worthwhile, and rally barricade's auto-reload means you can't proc Outlaw while standing behind it, which means you can't re-proc Despacito before your rally barricade runs out Redrix doesn't have enough bullets in the magazine to make being able to fire at max rate of fire worthwhile, and Despacito doesn't last long enough to tear through shields before running out of bullets, by which time you'll need to proc Outlaw again. Too much effort for not enough reward. I can imagine really good players in Comp might be able to use it to rapidly take out the opposing team if they happen to come out of cover at the same time, but stacks tend to turtle when someone on their team dies from Redrix anyway, so again way too situational When I think of how I have random rolled Go Figures and Blast Furnaces which hit harder, cause more flinch, _and_ have more rounds in the magazine (I have one with 60 rounds with Backup mag :P), it makes my piddly 27 rounds in my Redrix rather embarrassing. I actually switched to BF to finish my Forge PR multikills because I kept running out of bullets and having to reload while trying to get multikills. I think it's in part a flaw in the balancing of High Impact PRs from the fixed roll to the random roll meta, but also High Impact PRs have never caused enough flinch to make it worthwhile to have a PR that fires sooo slooow, which is the same issue my lovely and much lamented Machina Dei 4 had: it looks so nice, but it doesn't cause anywhere near enough flinch even with HCR. The Swift Ride XE8375 only shoots marginally faster, but it causes way more flinch (without needing HCR), is way more accurate, can roll with decent random perks and in general outclasses Redrix every which way: the Redrix I was using earlier has 9 Crucible kills, my Swift Ride XE8375 has 2513+. :P

작성자: Anubis (Adept) 2/18/2019 9:09:41 AMJust got mine, so excited to have completed it all. Got it and had about enough of PVP so I needed to get some cores so I hit up the spider. Spawn in and the scorn are riding pikes. Let’s test Redrix now... and was like WHAT THE -blam!-. Am I even hitting the pikes?!?! TTK is so long. Had to chase down those knuckleheads on their pikes and the reload screen... I could have died and re-spawned before the reload animation completed. All that grind... and meh, yeah I need a drink.

6 답변Yeah. The 4-round burst pulse rifles are the only viable options in the high-impact archetype imo. Much more forgiving. I miss the days of Hopscotch Pilgrim and Messenger.

It's the kind of weapon that switches from passive aggressive to aggressive. If you proc desperado and can land those headshots it can kill in 2 shots and kill faster than TLW. It's a good weapon, but I definitely prefer blast furnace and bygones.

2 답변At least now you have it And there's the possibility it can drop with random perks now, as its added to the Loot pool You might get a better version I'm close to obtaining it, the grind is real - and hearing it's disappointing is off putting, but got this close - will persevere!

3 답변would be nice if it got an RPM buff, like 50 so its more competitive at close range... think something like the blind perdition but with the redrix broad sword perk on it.

1 답변It's a problem with the High Impact archetype. They just don't do enough damage per head-shot to make them viable in PvP. Other types of Pulse Rifles are good, but the High Impact ones just need a damage bump. Maybe 2-4 more damage per shot in PvP. It's fantastic in PvE though.

4 답변I love the gun personally. I've always been one for high impact pulses but when Desperado hits. Oh lord it's always a big smile moment when you delete someone. I wouldn't mind if they got a 2-3 damage increase to ease the use of people who are using the Nightshade types. A lot of people remember the Messenger from D1, went back and watched clips from D1 and it was 41 damage per bullet. That's what made them useful even at close range. But here we are in D2 doing ~33... Feelsbad.
