Autos don't need stability the need dmg. There isn't a single auto in this game that has high recoil not even the halfdan.Bungie refuses to test play and acknowledge the fact that there is a meta and it needs to be regulated. Nerfs and buffs are useless without testing.

Damage won't fix autos though. The reason 450s are still better than 600s is because they are far more accurate and easier to use. When accuracy plays such a critical role in Destiny to deal damage, but you don't make them properly, you get blatant imbalance. It doesn't matter how powerful they make auto rifles if they can't consistently hit the headshots they need to deal real damage. If they are going to treat them like precision weapons, make them more precise. We aren't playing halo anymore, assault rifles don't need to be less accurate in exchange for damage, because no weapon in the game does this.

You cant expect a suppression style gun to work in destiny. Accuracy is far more important than anything in this game and it's why 180 handcannons are so good. If they want to make them suppressive, they should have closer to smg ttk, but it's clear they don't intend for that kind of gameplay. Autos are supposed to be accurate full auto weapons. They don't have to be perfect accuracy, I just want more control over where I shoot because so many weapons in Destiny have near pinpoint accuracy and better over all damage for their effective range. An auto rifles only advantage is full auto.

Autos lack the power to be suppresive. If they go for accuracy than they will just lost to gun that are more accurate and have more power like pulse and hand cannon. Accuracy is not what determines a gun fight. It helps but it does not decide it.

Most autos now kill faster than pulses. Accuracy actually is what is killing them. It's why nobody uses 150 rpm handcannons despite their faster ttk. Accuracy is critical in Destiny no matter how you slice it. Autos may not be the highest damaging weapon, but they at least deserve to be somewhat accurate.

They also have more range, are easier to use, are more ammo efficient, and are more stable. Damage isn't the only reason auto rifles suck. Auto rifles deal fine damage and have a good ttk, but they can't reach that ttk as they are too heavily focused on using precision to reach it. If they want them to be suppression weapons, dump the precision damage altogether because you can't have a contradiction in weapon design and expect them to be good. Auto rifles are supposed to be medium-close range rifles, there's no reason they shouldn't be accurate in at least their own effective range. Hip firing handcannons is more accurate in the air than hitting someone with a 720.
