Well, I don't have the playtime to grind RNG to get a Trust God roll. I have to play with what I have while I concentrate on leveling up to stay on-level with all the other activities.

  • The vendor trust can easily outgun Luna and its not RNG!

  • The one I have is Zen Moment and Dragon Fly. Not a lot there to inhibit Luna's accuracy or steady aim.

  • Okay so i'd be safe to say that you're more of a casual player and play when you can instead of hardcore grinding, so why should Lunas be a problem for you if you don't want to put in the time to counter a weapon that players spent weeks grinding for?

  •
Okay so i'd be safe to say that you're more of a casual player and play when you can instead of hardcore grinding
I play every weekend for as much time as I can. Most times that equates to 10-15 hours. I kind of resent the term 'casual' as I play every weekend Since Day 1 and I try to grind as much as I can within that time. I just don't have 40+ hours a week to do that.
so why should Lunas be a problem for you if you don't want to put in the time to counter a weapon that players spent weeks grinding for?
Don't want to put the time? Man you just don't get it. It's not about that. I accepted all of that in D1 because none of the weapons, that had grind to acquire, were so OP that they couldn't be countered. I put as much time as I can and it's not enough to be able to play the RNG game for a God roll Trust or anything else that even has a chance to counter Luna. I have nothing. The pool of weapons that can counter Luna's is very small and requires God rolls which requires time to play RNG. Having to face all the people who worked hard, or got carried or recovered, to get Luna's with nothing to counter makes PVP un-enjoyable. It's not fun to have to go up against that all the time when you have nothing to counter. It seems you suffer from the same thing I see in others. You don't really get what it's like for a mid-level player with less than 20 hours to play a week have to deal with. You are a Plat and Diamond lever player with a 2.62 in QP (1.4 higher than Comp) You run complete meta and Pinnacle load-outs in QP and as far as I'm concerned are part of the problem. You take advantage of the lower players to 'relax' in QP (such a farce). QP should not be the high level player's playground. It should be a place where non-competitive people can go and have fun playing other people. But people like you have distorted what QP was meant to be and are ruining the play experience for others.

I get that you don't have time to grind, like that's understandable. But you have to take into account that not everyone that has a lunas had that time either, some people could have been playing their only 2 hours of playtime each weekend specifically in the comp playlist and it could have taken them weeks upon weeks to get the gun. Also, it is a pinnacle PvP weapon, is it strong? Yes. Is it supposed to be? Absolutely. And i 100% don't believe that a pinnacle weapon that takes a long time to acquire for some people should be able to be countered by whatever roll gun players just happen to have sitting in their inventory at the time, that would completely negate the effort put into getting the gun. I do agree that QP is messed up right now but that's not down to the guns themselves, it's down to the fact that you have casual players mixed in with sweats and i don't think that's right. The problem I have is if i solo queue into a match, i will be the most experienced player on my team or at least the game coding will assume that based of the combat rating system, which means i will be paired with people way below my level as a "balancing" system to even out the teams, this results in me being at the top of a losing team every single time i solo. Meanwhile, when i 6 stack to counter being paired with inexperienced blueberries, we have absolutely no challenge from the enemy team 90% of the time because the game doesn't pair us with other sweats. My last match on Vostok i was running a green handcannon and a sniper and still finished at the top of my team because the rest of my team just had absolutely no clue about anything either because they are new or because they just play casually. That's my experience whenever i solo. The problem isn't the guns, it's the skill gap between players with the guns compared to casual players in the exact same lobby. EDIT: also the term casual isn't meant to be derogatory. I just mean that you don't come on to destiny for a sweaty 5 hour grind every night, you play on the weekends as a kickback from work or whatever.
i 100% don't believe that a pinnacle weapon that takes a long time to acquire for some people should be able to be countered by whatever roll gun players just happen to have sitting in their inventory at the time
You're misunderstanding and maybe taking my statement at face value. I'm not saying Luna should be able to be countered by some random Blue AR. But the fact remains that what can counter it is a very small pool of weapons. Many that do require god rolls that are hard enough to RNG. I appreciate that you see what the real problem with QP is right now.
The problem isn't the guns, it's the skill gap between players with the guns compared to casual players in the exact same lobby.
Exactly. But that also takes into account who has pinnacle weapons and who doesn't. Did those lower level players have Luna's or was it mostly your levels that had it (or any other pinnacle). Do you feel QP shouldbe for non-comp type players OR be for fast MM times with no skill factor at all? Aside from that, do you feel there should be some place for mid-tier players to be able to play in their comfort zone?
also the term casual isn't meant to be derogatory.
I don't feel that you did necessarily but I always feel I need to defend it (from others)
