I'd say leave the perk as is and increase the fire rate/damage to that of a 140/150 HC. This way it still requires 3 headshots or 2 and a body. But can still 2 shot if you kill a low health guardian with a headshot and move to the next target quick enough.
Thoughts?

Yeah but by changing the fire rate, it would change the TTK and make it so that it's more forgiving and less overpowered. The idea is that it shouldn't blanetly win a dual with another 180 HC like Trust. That seems to be the biggest issue. If I start the fight with trust and they hit their headshots right after me, they're still going to win because it only takes them 3 shots and it takes me 4. That shouldn't happen.... ever.

That would ruin the whole point of the gun if it got beaten out by other handcannons in a perfect headshot scenario it would be useless. Youre talking about making lunas suffer from the same issue all high impact handcannons suffer from which is that the faster firing ones are better. Doesnt make any sense at all lmao

I disagree completely. The same RoF gun should not win. That takes skill out of the game and makes it a "who has the better gun" game and discourages variety. In a game with as many weapons as Destiny 2, there should be more than one option for a hand cannon.

You wouldn't lose a mirror match up. You would trade, barely win cause you shot first, or lose if you shot second. If you change the RoF it would make it less forgiving and still give you the ability to 2 shot someone given the right circumstances.

Im saying with how it is now even if trust gets first shot if you did all headshots theres no reason trust should win because the whole point of lunas is consecutive headshots. If the trust won that engagement trust would be a better gun because it can roll random things

The point is, Luna/NF are overpowered. Something needs to be done. So far you're just defending a broken gun with no real solution. I'm trying to offer a solution that leaves the perk intact and just changes the fire rate to make the 3rd headshot that all 140/150 HC's require, be a body shot instead.
