I know that this is a really generic topic, but I've heard a lot of talk about changing the Glory rank system to be fairer for players who are matched against dropdowns, and DDosers. I don't have a lot to say outside of the title, but I didn't come to the table emptyhanded. I currently have a beta version of how the system would work, but I want community feedback on this and I also want to see how everyone would like playing with this system in place.
EDIT: Due to the popular vote, assume that this wouldn't replace the current Glory rank, but rather would work alongside it as a matchmaking algorithm, and an alternative to Luna and NF.
Currently how it works:
Kills - +1 to your rank
Assists - +1 to your rank
Deaths - -1 to your rank
Objective points - +1 to your rank
Win - +10 to your rank
Loss - -5 to your rank
Win streaks are now in. +10 to your rank for each win, stack up to 5 times as they do in-game.

7 답변작성자: Hawpy 2/9/2019 1:53:43 AMIt'd be nice if there was a daily/weekly incentive to use a specific weapon. Say, on a particular day, SMG kills are worth double and Sniper headshot kills are worth 3x. You could use SMG and Sniper to maximise rank gain or you could tailor your loadout to counter whatever the expected set-up is and risk less points per kill but a higher chance of actually winning the match.

1 답변Addition for your idea: Getting kill with shitty non-meta weapon nobody ever uses: +10 points/kill (Seriously, I would love to use and see people using guns they never even tried)

작성자: Poltergeist_1973 2/8/2019 7:40:58 PMPerformance based ranking based on the number of kills you get in a match. Keep the lose a point if you die. 500 kills to rank 1. Increases an additional 500 for each additional rank. No three tier systems per rank making it an actual 15 rank system to reset. Plain and simple people...

After spending 10 games in Comp and only having 10 points to show for it, yes. The fact that I lose as I much as I gain for all the hard work I put in quite frankly sucks. Hell, last game got 32 kills no points. Next closest was 15. Other team 1 guy had 30. Comp isnt worth the effort to play it. Points need a change.

4 답변작성자: Shrike22498 2/8/2019 8:50:02 AMFiro_Kite just posted the smartest idea yet, reposting for visibility. You should lose points for loss, but not lose rank. If you keep losing it should go back to zero on your current rank, but not drop below, so you can never go below your highest rank. This ticks all the boxes imo. It punishes losses but not so much so that you get demoralised and end up worse off than when you started after a couple of hours of bad play, or rage quits. Everyone should get behind this! Good job Firo_Kite

4 답변We need a system that uses skill and not exclusively Win/Lose. Things like Medals earned and KDR should effect how much Glory Points we earn. Kills = +5 points Deaths = -10 points Objectives Completed(For example Zones Captured)=+5 Medals Earned = would depend on how difficult said medals are to earn.
-
I think players should accrue some points towards their Glory rank _as the match is in progress_, so that sore loser DDoSers can't deprive players of all their match points by kicking them just before the end of the match. Performance-based points/medals/etc. should update your points toward Glory rank as you get them, rather than waiting for end of the match. This would ensure that there is no real benefit to trolls DDoSing the opposing team out of spite, or to avoid a loss.

I agree that winning shouldn't be the only deciding factor into the ranking system. If I go .29 while the rest of my team is 2.0+ (which happens on occasion) I shouldn't be entitled to the same reward as them for essentially being carried. And on the flip side, if I go 5.0+ (which also happens) in a match and my team still loses, I shouldn't be as heavily punished because I was doing everything I could at that point. And just had potatoes for teammates.

1 답변if the goal was to get players to engage then comp should make these changes -Wins earn point, streaks increase the point total. you get less points than valor - No loss of points if you lose, only lose points if you quit. -Total needed doubled to hit legend so 11000 -You can only get 1 pinnacle weapon per season. If you don't have luna(or mountain top, ewww) then you get luna at 11000. You will need to wait till next season for NF -If you have luna you get nf at 11000 -If you have luna and NF you get a seasonal emblem and ornaments for said weapons at 11000 -Resetting your glory gives you emblem with aura for the season You want people to play do this. If you want to hold on to some imagined prestige of the guns or playlist then keep the system that only 2% of the population will ever play and 0% enjoy.

The fact that glory points, or just PvP rank points in general, are awarded solely on a win/loss basis is a joke. If you solo queue and you end a match with the only positive k/d on the losing team, that should count for SOMEthing 😐

Very rarely, if ever, did I run into games where I was mopped with in other FPS's. Battlefield, CoD when I played CoD, Halo, etc. Battlefield I felt I was always matched up against good competition, but not to the the point where I'm getting skunked every 6 seconds. Incorporating a performance based system would have players playing more smart, and it would definitely be more forgiving to the bullshit I read about here in the forms. It would also be more encouraging to lower tier, or newer players to play comp.

1 답변I want to see the PvP side of this game start using dedicated servers above all else. Then we can work on the rest...

1 답변Yeah, I agree. We need smthing more fair to rank us up or down. I really lost about 10 games in a row just because I was against players who know how to play and in my team was no real players but bots. All 10 games I was on 1st (mostly) and 2nd places. I know you can call me a liar who just bad, but I never belive that good solo players never face this problem. Pls Bungie we need smthing for solo players without clans, friends and etc. It could be 1 vs 1 mode, or smthing like that. Or at least this sir's idea. Thx for attention.

4 답변Unfortunately it would make everyone play passive and it would slow the game down massively due to people trying not to die.

3 답변In general, glory should never be gained or lost based on wins/loss because those are factors that go beyond player control. You can lose but be glorious or win but not nessicairly be glorious. Take for example the 300 spartans that fended off the persians. They lost but they gained glory because of their actions. Give the player more control over their rank by making their actions the deciding factor in gain/loss.
