Still missing the point.
Destiny’s selling point is it’s gun play.
Anthem’s selling point is it’s superhero power-fantasy. Which is why the guns play a subordinate role the abilities.
I was draw to Destiny in spite of it being a shooter. Not because of it. If you ask a lot of Destiny pve players, you’ll find that it’s the only shooter game they’ve ever liked, or currently play.
So what Anthem May lack in visceral appeal as a shooter, it more that makes up for in other areas as an action game. Which is why so many are happily anticipating it.

I think you're underestimating the amount of people who played shooters before Destiny and I think you're overestimating or misidentifying the type of rpg experience that Anthem will offer vs what many other single player enthusiasts gravitate to. Bottom line, we disagree obviously. Time will tell. But we will never know the true reason if players bleed because like I said D2 is in store for the worst content update for PVE players in 5 years...watch.
Oh I am. And no, they aren’t. Now you’re just whistling past the graveyard.
You're basing your opinion on nothing. Really. It's what you think might happen because I think you're under the influence of a little confirmation bias. Anthem will do nothing to Destiny. What I'm seeing from just this thread is people canceling their preorders after playing the demo.

I’m not “basing my opinion on nothing”. I’m basing it on 20 years of action-RPG gaming experience and experience with this community that goes back to before Destiny 1 was launched. Which is why I’m very good at predicting how this community will respond to things. The people who are married to Destiny because it is a shooter are laregely pvp players. But the people who are predominantly pve players are not. As I said they play this game in spite of it being a shooter. Not because of it. Destiny’s gameplay nailed it out when there was no other real competition to scratch that loot-based RPG itch. Now there is. And if Bungie doesn’t get their shit together and stop pissing off it’s pve players and ignoring their feedback? They wild start losing players. That process has already begun. Daily engagement is down 400k players per day just since Black Armory debuted...and nothing very exciting is on the horizon for Season 6.

The entire game felt stiff outside of the gunplay. I think the people who going to get peeled off already did to Monster Hunter.

No. It didn’t. Your still talking like a shooter gamer They only thing that slowed the game dow is trying to aim abilities in a 3-D play space.... and that’s only slightly. Again trying to make a third person game play by first person rules.
And that’s where you’re wrong. Players on my friends list and former clan members are lining up to play. And actually about to go freeplay with one now. Later.
Massive confirmation bias. But I've never seen you actually admit you might be wrong about something as you relentlessly spam this forum with your responses. So not a shock.
