I haven't pre ordered but will be playing the open demo next week. If anyone played, can you give me your thoughts and any hints or tips please.
Thanks.

Not buying But for different reasons then most people would say. I bought a 2DS PKM OR and UM on the twentieth for $130 and that was my money for gaming for the next few months. I was out of gold and would’ve needed to drop $180 on Anthem gold and a headset which I’ll be honest wasn’t an option because I was limited on budget this month. Regardless I don’t think I really care about missing out. Just like with destiny I’ll probably pick it up around the Major dlc points. But then again who knows I might just pull the trigger and buy a switch for the next mainline Pokémon game.

작성자: Seraph 1/29/2019 12:28:49 PMI only managed to play 2 missions due to the severe ‘Infinite Loading Screen’ Bug. For what it’s worth, I enjoyed what I played although I really wish I had more hands on time with the demo. Ever since the first trailer for Anthem dropped, everyone’s been comparing it to Destiny ( which never made any sense to me ), to me, it always looked like it had more in common with the Division ( a game I hated ). Now that I’ve played it, I can confirm that the game is a lot more fun to play than it looks. I am concerned about my ability to play solo. I had intended to spend a lot of time in free play playing solo, but the game insists on looking for match making regardless of what you chose to do in the Expedition UI menu. And then there the bugs, words can not begin to express how much the Infinite loading screen bug dampened all my enthusiasm for this game.

Well I have high hopes that this game will be all the things that destiny and warframe isn't. I need something else. Unless bungie makes some serious changes I dont see myself staying much longer. It's been 2 months since I played destiny 2 and thorn/last word aren't bringing me back. I need builds. I need harder open world enemies. I need to explore new shit. Destiny for all it's good things feels empty. Go here shoot this repeat. Nothing new to find. No surprises. Just more of the same. Except the raids. The raids are fun but ppl are assholes. Pvp used to be fun but now it's a sweat fest. Here's hoping Anthem will be a break out success.

Not much advice but it was fun to explore. You can go anywhere you can see. I can’t imagine how large the area is if that’s just a piece of it. It has rush moments while fighting also. The fort has been a little more revealed and is going to be great. Many more areas that are still closed off. I was impressed how it improved from Friday to Sunday so this coming weekend I expect even more improvement. This will tell me where this game is going. Matchmaking is going to be Anthem’s saving grace I believe when it’s all said and done.

22 답변Nobody knows anything. The only thing that really matters is the endgame. They could pull a Destiny 2 or Division and shit the bed with content. Or there could be a fun endgame loop with lots of variety and different things to do. Judging by the fact that the game is launching with 3 strongholds and the way the loot system works where you have no idea what you got until you return home and have locked load outs, it doesn’t look promising. I’m guessing Division 2.0 with a hollow world with absolutely nothing to do and bullet sponge enemies.

Not interested. The build options and different play styles looks cool but the end game is what keeps me playing. I don’t care how in depth the grind is, if I’m just build a character to take them into a stronghold which is basically just a strike from destiny, that’s not going to keep me playing. I loved the grind for division one but stopped playing because the incursions weren’t very replayable and I wasn’t a fan of dark zone pvp. So until a game has a good grind and end game activities to rival destiny raids I’ll still be playing destiny.

The gameplay was a blast; any fan of Bioware will enjoy the gameplay. Demo was a bit buggy, so hopefully they will fix the issues for the open. Third person and abilities took some time to get used to and gunplay is not nearly as important in Anthem as it Is in Destiny. Guns are more like a supplement to your more powerful gear and abilities. If you have an Iron man fantasy this game is going to be the culmination of your dream. NO PVP- something I could really care less about. Beautiful environments. Worth trying-out, at least.

1 답변A great game that will co-exist happily with Destiny. If you like Destiny strikes then you will love Anthem. If you are a Crucible fan, then it probably isn't for you....

1 답변It was great for the 6 hours I was able to play. Mechanics are good, abilities are good...I like that some require quite a bit of learning to use effectively (but are usually the most damaging). The open world had alot of nooks and crannies to explore that aren't listed on the map. Demo was good..excited for full launch. The customization potential looks really promising as well. Alot of people were rightfully upset about server issues...but those issues should happen during a demo/beta, so they can be fixed for launch...there's also alot left out of the demo, so those upset about it lacking...well...it's supposed to be lacking (it's a demo--its only intended to let you dip a toe in).

작성자: WHISKEYJ0HNNY0 1/28/2019 10:22:15 AMThe battle system is magnificent. The customization options are great (a certain game should take notes). The hub is pleasing visually but it was cumbersome getting around in it(player character moves damn slow). The patrol or Freeplay is fun and rewarding. I can see myself spending a lot of time goofing around in it(and still earning useful loot). The weapon system is handled well - the more you use a weapon the higher you can upgrade. I could go on but I gotta go to work 😞

I have enjoyed it a fair amount. It definitely has technical issues that need to be sorted out, especially with load screens and cut scenes freezing, and the fort could use some stability work, but other than that the game runs pretty darn well so far. I love how fast my abilities come back, I love being able to choose the difficulty for everything and it also somewhat matching my level, so I am not soft locked out of difficulties due to the level of the enemies. I also love that I can free switch suits between missions, this means that if I am going into a mission with a group that could use a ranger, I can switch to that without worrying about stuff like, has this character already done this, is this character a high enough level, has this character unlocked this activity? Also the fact that I don't have to do everything three times over in order to have access to variety is extremely nice. Only real change I hope to see, is that I hope in the future we will be able to change up our ultimate abilities a bit. I just like having more choices and more variety. But that is a future addition, after the bugs are fixed and the game is stable.

1 답변Just curious was anyone able to beat the giant walking turret that kept producing scars in the free play section

2 답변작성자: TonyPartridge30 1/27/2019 11:56:37 PMIgnoring the glitches, bugs, and server issues, I'm just going to say my opinion on the gameplay and how much fun I had playing it. Is it bad? No, certainly not. Taking the demo as a test and technical difficulties aside, the game does have moments of excitement that I felt. It took a bit before I understood that guns were not the major damage dealer in this game; that goes to the abilities. And the abilities can be pretty cool. Once I unlocked a second Javelin, I chose the Colossus (as my friend said he'd go with Storm or Interceptor). And I gotta say, playing a Javelin other than the Ranger ups the fun factor. Some good things: - Looks great. I didn't get the weird facial glitch that I saw some others get. The graphics are nice. Customization took a bit for me to understand, but once I did, I quite liked how much I was able to make my Javelin(s) my own. The Fort (which really does feel a lot like Destiny's Tower, but if first person) has an ok feeling of liveliness to it. One nice thing was that walking NPCs will actively move to avoid you if you bump into them; stationary NPCs didn't do this. I am a bit confused as to why only my Javelin is at the Forge. It's like I'm the only Freelancer in the Fort. It felt weird. - Flying is pretty fun. Didn't take me too long to understand the mechanics of flight. Some issues: - The guns all look too similar. It was hard for me to look at the shotguns and distinguish them from the assault rifles. - Enemy AI. They overwhelm you with numbers, mostly. I didn't feel like there was overly cheap accuracy on the enemies. Attacks are telegraphed with a decent amount time so if you are paying attention, you can avoid/block big hits; if you aren't, you get punished. However, they weren't as dynamic as I was hoping. It wasn't easy, as I did die a few times on normal, but again, I feel like it was numbers that did me in instead of intelligent AI. - Team cohesion among matchmade players. This is a double whammy, because by playing the demo I understood that playing this game solo, while possible, probably would not be fun at all. You really do need people to play with. And while it's nice that the matchmaking pairs you with a squad for any activity, for this demo it felt like most people were just acting as lone wolves within a squad. Go in with a party to maximize team cohesion, because you can't trust a matchmade player to set up a combo for you. - Enemy spawning is confusing. I don't understand how they appear. Maybe that will be addressed in the full game. It can be annoying because they can just portal in seemingly anywhere, effectively separating you from your team or ruining a formation. This is just a personal gripe I had, not necessarily something that was ruining anything. - Freeplay feels largely empty. Just perusing the expansive world made me feel that there wasn't alot of action going on outside of the missions. I only found 1 public event while trying Freeplay. Otherwise, I was mostly flying, looking for groups of enemies, of which I didn't seem to find many. Assuming they iron out the kinks (loading screen glitch, despawning enemies, squad formation issues, server space), I can see this game being decently fun. At the same time, I don't see myself purchasing this game after trying it. It does remind me alot of Destiny. Which isn't necessarily a terrible thing; I did get plenty of fun out of Destiny 1. But ultimately I left Destiny, and I could see myself leaving Anthem after awhile too, so I feel like it'd be better for me to just not board the train at all.

작성자: Robin 1/28/2019 12:48:16 PMI enjoyed the little bit I played. I played two javolins so far, storm and ranger. Storm feels amazing and give you that power feel. Ranger is also good but doesn't even compare. I enjoyed playing the stronghold the most especially on hard and look forward to play the higher difficulty tiers too. The only thing that really put me off and I'm sure you heard about it is the loading screen bug. I know its a demo but if you gonna launch a couple of missions make sure they work find. Other then that the game feels amazing honestly considering putting down destiny and making anthem my main game. Edit: I wish they could let you get xp as the games expedition goes by instead of getting it all at the end but its not a major problem. Also would love to see the ability of changing load out, at least just weapons during a match.

I didn’t preorder or anything but I still got to play the VIP demo on Xbox for some reason... As for the experience I really enjoyed it, there was the endless loading screen which my friends told me how to work around it (close the game, go back on it, rejoin expedition when prompted) but the stronghold was the buggiest thing I encountered, I only completed it once (twice if you count the time where the game crashed at the end and got no loot) As for gameplay it felt pretty smooth on Xbox, I’ll shove in the usual swimming complaints because that killed the experience at those parts. The weapons and abilities I used felt good to use (especially that devastator sniper, hoo boy), my only complaint about enemies is the shields on some of the tougher enemies which are clearly not meant for solo play.
