In case you missed it:
I have continued to present to the dev team that a large portion of the community has given feedback that they would like to have Enhancement core costs removed from infusion. I'll continue to present your feedback within the studio. So far, there are no plans to remove the cost. Please continue to give your feedback and I'll let you know if anything changes.
In other words, Bungie has heard the complaints, suggestions, and frustrations of the sizable part of this community regarding the mindless chore that is the Enhancement Core grind and they do not care. They are tripling down on this inane four currency cost for the base mechanic of Infusion and they will not give any reason as to why. Now we know.
So here's some cool things I found out about Anthem yesterday on IGN (releasing February 22nd, 2019, full article here - https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/01/22/anthem-everything-we-learned-after-20-hours-of-gameplay):
6 levels of difficulty: Easy, Normal and Hard (Easy and Normal are better suited for solo players, Hard is best with a team). Additional Grandmaster 1, 2, and 3 difficulty levels are unlockable for the top shelf player. Coolness and rarity of gear will increase as the difficulty increases. There will be 6 different levels of gear.
Deep character builds: Your Javelin suit will have space for three gear slots, two weapon slots, and six component slots. Everything can synergize bringing your build to it's max potential before you begin to tackle the endgame. These systems also help you create the combos you can perform.
Incredible customization: You can change the suit colors, up to and creating your own custom colors, change the texture, change the level of how "worn" the suit looks (from factory fresh to heavy battle damage), and you can apply these to each part of your Javelin (each arm, each leg, the helmet, the chest, etc). There will be multiple decals to apply. The detail level can be minute and you can really and truly make your Javelin your own.
DLC: Story and content expansions, missions, strongholds (their version of strikes)... any and all daily, weekly, and monthly content drops are FREE. No Annual Pass bullsh*t. FREE. There are two currencies in game; coin and shard. Coin is the normal currency, and shard is the premium. There will be no lootboxes, but some cosmetics will be found in the cash shop for shard costs.
Matchmaking: EVERY activity in Anthem will include matchmaking. It has what is called The Alliance System, which is designed for players to help players and get help with ease. You earn benefits for helping other players with this system.
Just a paraphrase of the full article, but from what I read this game is gonna be fun. Bungie can continue to add more chores and ignore it's more mid-level and casual playerbase to it's own peril. All the hardcores can no-life and ego stroke each other all the way down to the bottom of this game's grave. It was fun while it lasted. In my humble opinion, all the "Investment Team" managed to do for me was invest my interest elsewhere. Your mileage may vary.
Whichever way you break on this position, I do wish you the best. These are all games, after all, meant to be fun and entertaining. They are not life and death, they have no material bearing on the things in life that really do matter.

Wow. What a bullheaded dumb move. Pretty much equates out to “yeah, we hear you but we know better and aren’t changing”. I’m finding enjoyment elsewhere other than D2 anyways, and Forsaken is good and all but I knew right at the onset it didn’t have the legs to keep my attention for long.

3 답변Yeah, I said in another post this is a dumb sword to fall on right now. Bungie has the ability right now to REALLY change perception about this game after the split with Activision. This is an important time for them from a PR standpoint. Why not just TREAT the players a bit and lower the cost to 1 core for legendary and two for exotic? It’s not going to break the game. As someone who has played this game basically non stop for the past three years, I finally feel myself waning these days, and that’s a bummer, but I am stoked about Anthem for sure haha.

1 답변I’m curious about anthem but the fact it’s always used as a hand to slap bungie for no reason and it’s just making the game look dull and drab in my eyes. I hope the people who play anthem enjoy it, and that maybe for once EA and BioWare can make something good since their hot streak of garbage. But I’m going to proceed with extreme caution, maybe wait a month after launch and see how it’s handling itself, but so far the gameplay on IGN didn’t impress me, it looks polished to hell and the villain has a actual reason that people can get behind. Which is great. But I don’t wanna play the division 1.5: electric shootie lootie boogaloo. And yes while alpha testers have their tongues tied or say this and that, actions speak louder the words so I have hopes for anthem but so far my impression is about as low as the sea right now. Do enjoy the game to all of you that play it tho!

I'm going to be giving Anthem a spin this weekend. I hope its fun, although as usual I am keeping a healthy dose of realism going in. The only franchise I fanboi for is TES, and yes I know its riddled with bugs and Bethesda have been rather unsavoury of late BUT I DONT CARE BECAUSE ITS TES AND I CAN BE AN ORC AND SMASH SHIT IN THE FACE WITH AN AXE AAAAAAAAAAAA

Bungie has shown humility and admiting a heavy hand on some things recently. I don't understand their reluctance in rectifying a mistake. The fact they went out of their way to justify said mistake by changing the item name and even creating chores to obtain them cores when the easier and more reasonable thing to do was simply to revert the infusion systemto the previous state (which was just fine and dandy) is quite baffling. Even now they won't admit their "economy" team's incompetence and fix something this simple that wasn't even broke before. There's no logical argument to keep enhancement cores in the infusion system, save the no live try hard's lines "you filthy casuals want it all handled to you" or "real life achievements are hard to get and so you should play a game like it's a real life". It's like trying to get somewhere by walking in a circle when a straight line would be faster.

작성자: TheShadow-cali 1/24/2019 7:23:26 PMThe only reason Cozmo said anything was because he was told to so he could try to set some of the players at ease. Bungie knew what was going to happen the minute the community learned they changed the infusion system. They said to themselves most likely, these guys are going to be upset but who gives a crap, will try to play it off by going silent for 4 months and when it gets bad, release the hounds... what was really stupid of them was changing the name of the cores trying to act as if they were meant to be "enhancement cores". You know, because the community wouldn't know the difference. From the day D1 released Bungie has always toyed with the player base in one form or another, "fixing things" that are Not broken, but when the player base started playing back Bungie went and started hiding on Reddit. We/Bungie can dish it out but we/Bungie can't take. Edit: In the long wrong their arrogance is going to catch up to them.
All the hardcores can no-life and ego stroke each other all the way down to the bottom of this game's grave.
I used to be a hardcore guardian but then life brought responsibilities etc ... And so I joined the casual club. I would really love to keep playing casually but at the rate of these infusion costs I cannot really expect to do a raid because by the time I am raid ready in 2 months or so my raider friends have moved on to something new and I don't lfg due to the toxic nature of the same.
These are all games, after all, meant to be fun and entertaining. They are not life and death, they have no material bearing on the things in life that really do matter.
Abso-fuking-lutely! I had fun while it lasted. I think we should all move on and experience new things ... such is life! and games!

Bungie’s continued refusal to support the playerbase should be all the indication players need to leave the game en masse. If any message coming from Bungie has been clear since launch, and especially since Forsaken launched, it’s that they really do not give a shit about player investments in the game or the player experience. They have their own internal narrative or idea of how things should be, or are too lazy to bother with actually fixing things, and they don’t really care to address the disconnect. I’d imagine as far as they’re concerned, if people are still logging in, that’s good enough. That seems to be the sole driving idea behind the “investment team” and a lot of the system/content release patterns (read: extreme RNG dependence and time gates everywhere, artificially bloating grind time in exceptionally unrewarding ways). I’m not sure Bungie is going to understand any message at this point other than a mass exodus of players.

And this, right here, is the entire reason I stopped playing D2 months ago. We already know, since the precedent has been set, that everything we grind for will be taken away (again) and we’ll just have to re-earn it back (again) when the next “sequel” drops. So I have no remaining motivation to jump in a pointless hamster wheel that only ends in futility. I love grind. I grinded the crap out of D1, I’m grinding the crap out of ESO and Warframe. I hate pointless grind. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

작성자: D2_Dahaka_PAL 1/24/2019 8:52:42 PMNo problem Bungo, keep your shitty economy or keep your players, you choose. Anthem pre-ordered on x1-x. It may not end up being a Destiny Killer, but options are nice. Between it and the Division 2, I hope there is enough competition to light a fire under Bungo’s arse and see Destiny actually git gud.

11 답변-blam!- it, I’m pre-ordering Anthem if I like the open beta on the 1st. Tired of the bullshit and lies Drudgery 2 :- Poverty Simulator is not fun anymore. Hope I like Anthem.

1 답변“a sizable part of the community” Lol you must be joking. Plus cores aren’t even a problem if you stop infusing every single item into the same exact gear you keep using.

6 답변I am curious about the game but I just can't help that people are mentioning anthem as a sort of malicious jab at Bungie. Everyone posting about this game is just using the grass is greener argument. Everyone here complaining about rng is going to complain even more in anthem. you failed to mention that the game will be like Diablo in terms of rng ideology. This means that you're going to be farming for the same helmet 9000 times just to get the perfect rolls for a build that you're trying to perfect. Take a look around the forums about the whole grindfest. people on this form do not understand how RPGs work and complain that they need to do things in the game to get things in the game. you mean to tell me that showing people anthem or or reading that these players recommend anthem is going to satiate their need for good game? It is ridiculous. go to the EA forums or any Facebook post about anthem and you're going to see just as much toxicity from their own player base about a game that didn't even come out yet. yeah I kind of derailed this whole thing even though I am truly curious I just hate the execution and the reasoning behind advertising a completely separate game on this forum. Talking about anthem is for the EA forums. at best this topic needs to go over in the new sections that allow you to talk literally about anything on this forum.

작성자: Arts-Live- 1/24/2019 7:23:34 PMLol I love it how you started with infusion and cores and turned on the whole javelin game. I check the population count every now and then and it seems to drop ever so slightly. Interested .. very interested on what happens between now and Feb to March.

1 답변Ah yes, shilling for a Bioware game (because they've been hitting it out of the park lately with Andromeda and Dragon Age: Farmquisition), and published by EA. I'm SURE the monetization plan for that is going to go JUST. FINE. There's zero history of EA screwing over fans with multiplayer games before...

2 답변If you love Destiny, but hate Cores and infusion, just do the Spider / Simulation Seed / Brother Vance cheese (Google those key words if you don't know what I mean) to get Cores you need. It's dumb and tedious, yes, but if this is the main complaint you have, and otherwise like the rest of the game, just do this like once a week (maybe even once a month) and you'll be swimming in Cores. All you need are Shards to get this started. I don't care if you do or don't do this -- it's just a suggestion to get around the otherwise scarce supply of Cores if you like the game in general. Don't get me wrong -- I'm all for removing Cores from infusion, or only requiring Cores for exotic infusion, and you shouldnt NEED to do a ridiculous manipulation of currencies and engram packages to achieve this. I've already read numerous posts about all the reasons people feel Cores shouldnt be used in infusion, so no need to reiterate here. I've got 900+ hours in D2 so I'm not hurting for Cores, although I realize many of you may be. Just something to try out in the meantime until they eventually do something to buff Core sources or nerf infusion costs.

4 답변It’s hard to say if destiny players will switch to anthem. I am going to try it out however we need to remember anthem is being made by ea so I’m sure there will be problems and money grabs.

I think the worst thing about Bungie is the ATTITUDE. That shady attitude that plagues all communications coming from that video game studio. Always hiding something. If they would come up front and explain their choices I'm sure the player base would be grateful but, no... they prefer to remain silent and let people complain over and over again. Well, if they have difficulties right now and if they run into a wall in the near future... all I can say is: they deserve it. I'm not buying anything from them anymore and I keep using their servers. If the new content is not top tier since the release of the annual pass, I don't care I didn't pay for it. Let's be honest though, balancing the economy of a game like that isn't an easy task but, they never seemed to fully understand how to tweak it properly. Keep adding water to the wine Bungie, the problem is: it already doesn't taste wine anymore.
-
1 답변Yep....def gonna drop destiny till they correct core issues <hehe seewhatididthere?>. BUT Anthem is EA.....so I'm certainly NOT pre ordering that...don't need to throw money at a game before I know it won't be another joke like SW Battlefront 2. Or ME Andromeda. And Bioware has explicitly stated that the demo is going to be very different from release. So. We've been warned. Pre order at your own risk.

6 답변Then go play Anthem and stop cluttering the newsfeed by complaining about enhancement cores and how bad the game and devs are. Don't like it? You have the option to go play something else, or go play in the street.
