Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten have ruined crucible
Title. These guns are OP. Anyone who doesn't have them has no chance to compete. Plus, 80% of the people I run into using these weapons are in a 4 or 5 stack, so they're even more likely to win.
Solution, LH and NF are acquired as pinnacle weapons in the competitive playlist. Keep them restricted to the competitive playlist so us quickplay casuals aren't fodder for all the tryhard's multikill youtube videos.
Edit: omg my first top 10 trending post in 5 years on b.net. I'm glad there are people who still have strong opinions on this game. It was nice to wake up to all these notifications. Have a good day.
Edit 2: I like how most naysayers simply say, "Get yourself in a better position then them," or, "Play to your loadouts strengths." Like, do you not think that that's exactly what they are doing? I can't force them to play bad. Yes I can bait them into a disadvantaged team fight, which I do, but it still requires them making a mistake. Basically these posters solution is for me to play mistake free while my opponent with the superior loadout makes lots of mistakes. ffs

2 답변Honestly, most peoole who have either can dominate QP with pretty much any loadout. I haven't played in a month or so, but I could roll QP lobbies with Duke and a sniper just as easily as DRB + NF/Lunas

[/quote] This is literally the exact same thing people have said in every "meta" D2 had been in so far... First we had Mida/Uriel/Last Hope Then we had Graviton/Vigilance Now we have Luna/Shotty Yet somehow people are still playing... I would've figured if the ass grabbing meta didn't make people quit, nothing would.

7 답변Let’s say this happened and LH and NF were not allowed in quickplay...those same players will still wreck you with the Trust, Ace of spades, Duke Mk, Wardens law etc. A player who has Not Forgotten will kill you 10/10 times regardless what weapon he/she has equipped. Your problem is not with the gun, it’s with people who are better than you. I don’t think you quite understand just how good you have to be to obtain Not Forgotten, those players can beat you with white weapons if they wanted too. Not much you can do. This is a symptom of the shrinking player pool. All that is left are the diehards and the sweats. The diehards refuse to play any other game and the sweats beat up on the diehards. The casuals are gone, the noobs are gone, the players of your skill level are gone, the Christmas noobs are gone. It’s just you and the pro players now, until new content drops and an influx of players come in and you will wreck in crucible and when the content gets stale, like always, you’ll be back to facing the same pro players every day, over and over again. That’s just the way it is in destiny now. Love it or leave it.

You crucible players can cry that the exotic weapons us pve players grind for hours for are OP and need nerfs, but as soon as someone says your precious Luna is OP you all tell people to shut up and grind for the weapon themselves? The izanagi's burden is available for anyone to grind for and will take weeks if you need the rare bounty and shattered throne completion, but that isn't stopping pvp players from saying it is OP already even though it has been out for only a week. Sleeper Simulant is another example. It was a quest available for everyone to grind for, it took hours, and caught a nerf for pvp/gambit reasons. Why don't we all just stop asking for nerfs or claiming things are OP and just enjoy the game.

I cant even play regular crucible without having to go against sweaty players running the lunas howl which forces everyone in my team to start using it too. I shouldn’t be forced to use a certain weapon, sure I can use other things but it takes more work to do well when I can just take out my luna, land easy headshots and get easy kills. Lunas howl is so easy to use and the hitbox is generous, the weapon is broken and its perk should get reworked. When I play Quickplay I actually just want to chill and use any load out I want without having to go against sweaty players using the lunas howl, its frustrating and it ruins the experience.

Nah you just suck, if everyone was given a lunas howl for a day, you'd definitely see a difference between the people who earned it and the people who didn't. It's also not that great, has its moments but it isn't an absolute god gun with no weaknesses either, bygones and other meta weapons is just as annoying lmao

The vast majority of of players i come across and look up that's spamming kills with Luna are either struggling to maintain a 1.0 kd or are below it. Lol. It doesn't take skill to play these weapons nor obtain them. Luna's how is about the most BS weapon in Destiny since pre nerf Thorn in D1. But since everybody and his brother has one and are spamming easy kills they're going to defend it until the end.

3 답변In D1 everyone had access to all the same weapons albeit with different perks, most desired in PvP eyasluna didn't have a god roll? there was palindrome for sale, finillas peril from iron banner in year 2 a fair equivalent. Unless you have a Luna's howl or even better but not forgotten or a god roll trust you're at a disadvantage. Other weapons need to be buffed so they can compete a bit better.

13 답변Your analysis may be flawed. The problem you've correctly identified is that you are dying a lot to the same gun. Your conclusion is that the gun is overpowered. However, we know that you have to be pretty skilled to get the gun (let's disregard the kids who will be screeching that anyone can grind it, and agree that you do need to be at least pretty good). Let's also assume that anyone who is very good at crucible has probably obtained that gun. Therefore is the gun overpowered, or are very good players better than you, and the better players all use the same gun to show off their trophy? Either is possible. To know whether the gun is overpowered itself, you really need to be able to observe mediocre players doing exceptionally well with it. But you can't observe that because the mediocre players don't have it. So all you can observe accurately right now is 'really good players do well in pvp and use the trophy they earned'. It's hard therefore to know where the issue is.

The second match I played the enemy team had Luna howl and shotguns and roll a 75 within 2 mins of the match. Are we going to acknowledge the problem or just pretend it doesn't exist. I got my answer people would rather ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist and give shit excuses to defend. So whatever. Just realised my mistake of match time as well I forget how match time is ever used in matches because real time is not transferable to game time. Takes 5 mins to complete a match but in real time it's literally 20 mins or so that it actually took.

4 답변This really falls into the “power creep” fallacy. Basically, the people with Luna’s or NF fall into the top ~10% of crucible on average. These players would destroy you no matter what guns they were using. Banning the guns in QP would set a dangerous precendent for this game and ruin the hard work that these players put into getting the weapon. My recommendation? If you play crucible enough so that this is an issue thats serious enough to write a forum post about, get out there and get Luna’s Howl or NF yourself. Getting mine made me a way better player, learning tactics that I never thought id know. These players are good no matter what gun they use, its just Luna’s and NF is most consistently good, they dont need nerfs, tldr- Get good, Get Luna’s.

2 답변They earned them so they should be able to use them anywhere or any time in the game. I think instead of removing weapons they should have a junior version of crucible where all players pick their weapons and armor from racks and compete with supers disabled. Maybe they can use rubber bullets too so no one dies. No one wins and everyone gets a trophy,like t-ball for children. I think that might satisfy most of the complainers
