Technically, no. He had a bill on his desk for signing, right up until Fox news said he blinked. Then he pitched a fit and refused
But aren’t the democrats also refusing to compromise in the bills they put forth as well?

  • Because it's a functionally outdated and comparatively useless expenditure where we should be focusing on more effective methods

  • Improved surveillance systems, increased border patrol presences, expedited immigration systems. Things of that nature

  •
Improved surveillance systems
, Easy to sabotage when mounted upon a fence.
increased border patrol presences,
What if the presence was underwhelming compared to a greater force? How would a fence provide comparable cover to a wall?
expedited immigration systems. Things of that nature
Increasing speed also increases sloppiness and error.

  • 1) The bulk of the security measures would be drones, motion sensors, and other countermeasures that would be tougher to detect or mounted away from the border itself. Which would not have an ineffective, wasteful wall around it 2) This isn't some kind of military invasion. These are citizens fleeing violence and crime in their countries. The numbers would be adequate to ensure order and calm, as well as provide humanitarian aid. 3) Only if the system were expedited without increase in faculty and automation.

  •
1) The bulk of the security measures would be drones, motion sensors, and other countermeasures that would be tougher to detect or mounted away from the border itself. Which would not have an ineffective, wasteful wall around it
That would be more expensive over time. Walls have been a basic form of defense for thousands of years. Even your own living quarters are composed of walls. Or do you prefer to replace your walls with cameras and motion sensors?
2) This isn't some kind of military invasion. These are citizens fleeing violence and crime in their countries. The numbers would be adequate to ensure order and calm, as well as provide humanitarian aid.
There are also gangsters and criminals and human traffickers who make a living off of a wall-less nation.
3) Only if the system were expedited without increase in faculty and automation.
Maybe you can raise a magical enchanted barrier while you’re at it.

    1) Walls work for shelter and protection from the elements. For keeping people out, especially in this day and age, they'd be all but worthless. Especially when there's a myriad of other ways in 2) Those people aren't going to be the ones trying to get in covertly. They have the money and status to just drive in. 3) It's not a far- fetched idea. Hire more people, allocate more money that way, and things will go much smoother

Perhaps you should join the military and adopt the mindset that you’d only take concealment but never cover... just stand there out in the open. Hypocritically, you’re the kind of guy that still locks his doors. 2) False. Your ignorance is showing. 3) Where will you get your source of power for your magically enchanted force field? Your own ass?

  • 1) Structures only work with 5+ walls enclosing the entire contained section. A single wall on a single border (not even the entire border, mind) isn't going to stop much at all. 2) And yet most of the significant criminal aspects get here entirely "legally" with fraudulent documentation. And drugs? The vast preponderance of those come in through ports of entry. 3) The funding to improve the Immigration system can easily come from cutting back military spending on both military interventionalism and industrial spending

A large, well built and fortified wall will stop more than you realize. 2) A solid wall is of better defense than a mere fence. It would eliminate all, or nearly all illegal immigration and provide better cover and concealment to both US and Mexican citizens from shootings. 3) The funding would better come from cutting back on politician paychecks.
