I remember back when I first stepped into the Crucible in D1 and got throughly trounced again and again. Rather than cry to the devs for nerfs, I decided to buff myself by changing my mindset.
Stop blaming your losses on the meta and teams. Stop blaming other factors entirely. If you truly were "decent enough" or could "hold your own" (my personal favorite), you'd win. If that Dust Rock/Luna squad beat you and you consider them trash, that makes you worse than trash. Plain and simple.
Take responsibility for every single death and ask yourself "How did I die?" and correct your gameplay accordingly to lessen that chance.
It starts with you. Now go get better instead of crying on here. It'll take time, patience and you'll lose spectacularly from time to time. But for Shaxx's sake, LEARN.

No usually when i play PvP its ALWAYS because of my team. I see them just walking around passing by enemy players because they are not paying attention or are little kids who don’t know how to play the game properly. I fully blame the matchmaking of the game because sometimes i get a really good team and most of the time i get teams that have no idea what to do. Pvp in the game as it is right now is not fun. It feels very much like overwatch is right now maybe even worse as most of the time. instead of playing and feeling good for getting my kills and objectives i instead come out extremely tilted as im top of the team and getting the points as the other players are running around doing anything else other then help get the objectives to actually win.

Except when you get killed around corners you never peaked or when you are 1 second behind everone else. There are some shitty players but god damn it sucks when you do everything you normally do and some how you come out 5-10kd and at least 1/2 your shots didn't regester.

Well in my case it's not an excuse when I blame my team. Yesterday I dropped 60 in a game, my team barely won by 4 points. Literally 10mins ago I dropped 46 in a game and we won by ONE point. Most games I play if I'm not running with at least one other guy in my clan or 2. I'm gonna lose, I average 30-50 kills in a game of QP. So yea screw the meta bs but the matchmaking definitely needs some type of fix. I shouldn't get complete bots on my team and have to carry that bad. No I don't think I'm a god or even the "top tier" of PVP but I do know I should NOT be in lobbies with these guys...

5 답변Thats not true at all. Tracker says im 1.12 in comp and 1.5 in qp and 1.4 overall. Sounds about right after I tanked my 1.8 kd when I stopped giving a single shit about the awful pvp in Destiny 2.

2 답변I accept that i am not good at crucible. The only thing i got annoyed for that i am not responsible for is the stupid "power advantages enabled" for iron banner. I know it was active during D1 but the damage scaling was perfect for that because i was able to actually kill people who were 10+ light levels above me. With the D2 system i can barely scratch someone who is 5 power levels above me.

6 답변I agree but matchmaking plays a huge part. The skill gap between teams poorly matched makes some games so one sided there’s very little you can do. 6 players wiping players immediately from spawn to spawn means you’ll get destroyed however good you are.

Just run a 4 stack and feed off each others handcannon kills, then break out your jotuuns, wavesplitters, and telestos, get in the most cowardly “I can’t handle a gunfight on my own” mentality you can, and teamshot your way to a luna like everyone else 👌 crucible problem solved.

Only thing I would say is the Luna can kill you faster than you can know that you did something wrong... Other than that all true. I can’t stand people who scream that some thing is no skill...it’s a video game...
I remember back when I first stepped into the Crucible in D1 and got throughly trounced again and again.
Can relate. I was very bad in D1 and hated how I felt like a detriment every time I played Trials so I kept playing and saw myself improve. I think D1 PVP helped people improve, sure there was a fair amount of cheesy strats but I think the skill gap was well defined, everyone could get a pali/luna back in the day but you knew exactly who were the one's to watch out for in game. I think the people who looked to improve in D1 are reaping the benefits in D2 where the skill gap arguably feels a lot lower. This game isn't D1. Sure, you can try and "git gud" but I don't think the PVP in this game supports that attitude anywhere near as much as D1. I don't think it helps that the meta weapons are tied to comp, I mentioned luna and pali, you could easily obtain at least one in D1. The closest thing to Luna's Howl that is easily acquirable is probably Trust. But with the announcement of comp matchmaking improvements and as time has passed, acquiring LH seems to be getting easier, I'm seeing a lot more in PVP nowadays but the difference between a good LH player and ok LH player is more noticeable as a result. Hopefully the sandbox changes really shake things up and would personally love a sniper to be the next pinnacle weapon but for me, D1 was the best in terms of fun and for learning.

5 답변I agree 💯 with the message, however the crucible isn't very fair at the moment, first a small anecdote. The other day I was playing comp solo queue, which I get isn't favorable in this meta, but whatever. I'm playing with my usual vendor bygones, decent rolled trust, and hammerhead, so not a bad loadout. We get whatever the city map is with countdown. The first round we do decent a few of my teammates trade and in the end we lose that round, we we're not pubstomped or anything like that, however TWO of my teammates leave the game!!! Me and the one remaining Titan end up losing the match 4-2. I got 25 muther-blam!-ing kills!!!!! The fact that I can do so well and yet still lose because of teammates is infuriating. In the end I do agree with your statement that a lot of people do blame every little defeat on anything but themselves and a lot of people think they are better than they really are. However because of leavers, unfair matchmaking, and overpowered weapons and abilities even the VERY BEST players might be punished for something not their fault.

I'm trying incredibly hard to get gooder. I just have to figure out how to make their 0.68s ttk take longer than my own 1.3s optimal ttk. Once i successfully change the rules of space and time, I can start learing how to get gud. At the moment, it seems Better Devils with delayed payload is giving me an extra 0.25 seconds through fliching. Therefore I have a chance if I get 2 uncontested crits in, but it's a close fight from there. That next stage is where I have very little practice (thanks to the same 0.68s of "experience" per fight.) This game needs noob protection. The pinnacle weapons should not be anywhere near newer players. You will keep far more people if their first taste of pvp wasn't getting killed in an instant while your best moves barely break the enemy shield. People will defend this broken matching, then turn around and say "dead game." Yeah, no sht sherlock, you caused all the fresh faces to leave with your little "pinnacle weapons." You are happily digging your own grave, while telling everyone else to get to your standard.

3 답변Counter argument being, if you can't continue to play without Lunas/Shotguns/Meta items, then you should probably also "get gud." Lag, cheating, network manipulation and fireteam coordination all also have rolls to play in peoples' success in crucible and skew individual experiences and YES, it translates here in many ways. You make a good point of learning from mistakes, but there are blatant imbalances in the game, recognized by both scrubs and high-tier PvP players alike. CammyCakes, for example, has expressed certain meta weapons and abilities to be grossly overpowered for the current sandbox. I don't really take him as the type to say it out of retaliation. If anyone is going to upset the balance of power in your sandbox, it will be the ones who make unpopular opinions seem relevant without telling the rest of the community to stop crying and moaning about it.
