In my humble opinion Black Armory is a failed experiment and proves that this kind of long drawn out content does not work for Destiny
The BOREges
The forges are boring and are really only challenging if you are severely under-leveled, they have little replayability aside from grinding for meh weapons. There is still one yet to come but I'm assuming it will end up like the first three, challenging for a day and then face roll until you get the weapon you want. The forge weapons are OKAY but nothing exceptional, the armor in my opinion is hideous and has no new or interesting perks, the gameplay loop itself is exceptionally boring and unengaging. The forges are not a good start for this Annual Pass concept and if this is the standard for whats to come I find it unlikely I'll be playing much Destiny in the future.
The Rest of The Game
There are no new strikes, Crucible maps, no new armor for any section of the game, no new Gambit maps, no new weapons for any vendor. The Factions for some unknown reasons have not returned and have kinda broken my immersion just sitting there doing nothing, I have no idea why they have not reverted to the Destiny 1 system and just added onto that. These core sections of the game have seen ltitle love in an expansion meant to add to the end-game. New strikes and strike specific loot would be great for keeping players in the playlist as it stands now I can't even bring myself to do my dailies. For some inexplicable reason Bungie thinks players wanna keep playing the same strikes they have been playing for a year now just to get enough power to do the "new" content. I love crucible, but playing on the same maps is getting old and not to mention the lack of Sand Box updates to keep the meta fresh. No Trials for yet another unknown reason, a mode that arguably kept Destiny afloat during the major PvE droughts. In an expansion all about keeping players interested through end-game content there is a stark lack of interesting or diverse things to keep players coming back.
The Game is becoming Stale
I have been wearing the same armor set for about 3 months now because its the only one I can stand to look at. The design team has really shit the bed on the new armor and weapon models most of which I can't stand. I want to grind for new armor or better looking weapons, but almost every set has some part that ruins the whole thing and the new guns are some of the most visually unappealing in the franchise. I feel unmotivated to play the new raid more than once because the gear from it is so lackluster. What happened to the Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence, Black Hammer, Hawkmoon, Gjallerhorn, Thorn, Bad Juju, Zhalo, Ice Breaker, Invective, all great looking weapons that were fun and powerful.
Truth be told this hardly feels like an expansion, this doesn't feel like it should be payed for content, it should have been a free update akin to the April Update, I don't care if they want to add more micro-transaction if they give us free updates but instead we have both micro-transactions and payed updates which feels extremely scummy and ruins all the goodwill built up from the excellent Forsaken DLC.

3 답변Franchise is dead now, D3 will have curse of osiris population numbers when its drops and will die off from there onwards. Destiny could've been the next halo, but they've refused to listen to the community for 4 years... This bungie team are a joke, and they have tarnished the company name a lot of us fell in love with 15+ years ago. Why cant these monkeys constantly release new weapons, amour, strikes? Keep the game fresh, there should be like at least 20+ strikes to choose from since we've transitioned to yr 2. No new pvp maps? Im sure it doesn't take months and months to design and make a few maps... amd you keep releasing trash modes like breakthrough and this new lockdown trash nobody probably even plays. What happend to combined arms? Why cant we have proper custom games like old school infection? There's a million things wrong with this game, and the only thing i truly do like is the soundtracks... now that's pretty sad right?

It also feels like Bungie don’t test the game properly, as there are loads of bugs and thing that aren’t working as intended. Ammo finder perks have been useless since forsaken first came out, and there are other bugs that need to be addressed. Considering how slowly the content in black armoury comes out, Bungie should make sure there are no bugs with each piece of content they release.

2 답변I wouldn’t say flopped. Curse of Osiris was IMO far worse. I hated the music , the graphical theme, Mercury, the missions and Osiris himself, not to mention they turned brother Vance into some sort of creepy weirdo. The forge weapons were garbage aside from perfect paradox , which wasn’t really much better than Hawthorne’s field forged shotgun. The new exotics were crimson and colony both of which are good but the raid lair was WAAAY too short along with terrible rewards.(I enjoyed the boss fight) I actually like the forges and the concept of drip feeding content. The new exotics look great and the forge weapons are really solid as well. I think the raid is very fun and look forward to finishing it later today. I honestly can’t remember having this many activities to do in Destiny in a long time or maybe ever. That being said I agree there is always room for improvement.

6 답변Is it just me, or does anyone else realize that the forges are getting more and more empty? I've loaded into a couple where I'm the only person, or with another person, then this other person seeing that there's only 2 of us, proceeds to quit.

2 답변I agree with everything but in terms of monetary value, we paid $11 for 4 forges and a new raid, which in itself, is fine. However, like you said, having now experienced this experiment and a potentially different take on how Bungie will be adding additional content moving forward, do I prefer this model? Nope. Would rather pay $20 for a DLC. If they do continue this, the updates need much, much, much, much more substance.

I disagree on how the armor sets look. I really like what the design team has done and even the new shaders are cool. I agree that the actual perks on the BA armor needs some type of different perks tho. There’s nothing about it to give us reason to complete the rare bounties or even the weekly, especially if you don’t like the looks. The raid gear looks cool to me also however it’s lacking in perks from what I’ve seen. These new armor drops were a great opportunity for Bungie to give us new perks. Enhanced perks should be a guaranteed drop on every piece of gear.

2 답변Because the new model was geared toward the vocal minority of end game try hards and content streamers. They stopped feeling special early in D2 because they couldn't flex their 20 hr per day play schedules and say, "Look what I did that you can't yet. Look what I got that you won't for weeks"! Now those same people have climbed to max just as fast as before and those that aren't there are so frustrated with being perpetually behind with little to no lower level new activities that they stopped caring. Just pushing the power limits higher every 3 months for activities with not much depth is not making the game more entertaining. Just my observations anyway.

I have been playing RDR2 and I have jumped on Destiny once this week. This game has bored me to the point its hard to log in and play. I don't have all the forges open (don't care to be honest) the 3 weapons I do have, I broke down because the rolls were garbage. The new raid or raid lair or whatever is garbage in my opinion just as shitty as EOW. For now its more fun to play cowboys and indians then it is to play this steaming pile of dung. Anthem can't get here soon enough

Yeah. It was disappointing, but Bungie hopefully learned from their mistake, but it was kind of a malicious compliance thing. Y’all like the endgame in the base game? No. How about Curse of Osiris? No. Warmind? EP! Yay! Still not much though. Forsaken- That That’s a lotta endgame. Thank you very much. Black Armory: YoU wAnT mOrE eNdGaMe? SuRe!!!

1 답변only good thing that came out of the forges are the weapons. I will admit they are pretty damn nice if u can get the proper rolls, other than that forges are tedious and boring.

6 답변A good overview that many can agree with. We all wanted a meaningful grind. Sadly what was delivered by Bungie has quickly become repetitive and boring. The time investment to receive mediocre loot has players quickly losing interest. I truly hope Bungie returns from their holiday hiatus and overhauls the RNG system immediately. A player’s time in game needs to be rewarded. If it’s not then the game becomes less fun to play.

2 답변I can't bring myself to even start the process to unlock the 3rd forge. After playing the 2nd 2x I was bored to death and it all seemed pointless. All Black Armory brought was a Forge reskinned 3x and a mini raid that can be completed in 15min. With the Season of the Drifter being next, expect a ton more reskins and to be forced to play Gambit matches over and over for very little rewards. Maybe Anthem will have some content worthwhile (but keep your expectations low... A developer known for glitched games with a publisher that has zero issues in releasing unfinished games)

5 답변The thing that annoys me the most about Black Armoury is the amount of artifical grind, it feels like its literally filler to hide just how shallow the actual content is. If this is Bungie's approach going forward, I hope we will at the very least see more frequent updates to sandbox,QoL etc. Honestly, I think this is where Destiny starts going downhill again. Looking at what we've had so far, I'm not optimistic and I think things will only pick back up with the next major DLC like Forsaken. But that's just my opinion.

In terms of a season it keeps me going for about a month and a half so I haven’t really played over the last two weeks. We have the new forge on Tuesday but that will probably last a week of content. It feels like how it always has, it just has stuff in the diary to look forward to rather than having to wait till the end of the season for more activities to do.

You paid for 3 different stages of content, bungie never promised that it was going to be even close to what forsaken was.its not supposed to be an expansion, they never said it was going to be an expansion. I do agree that the game is becoming kinda stale.black armoury weapons are cool and all but what kills it for me is the fact that you have to grind for Module report them farm kills and that radiant stuff(I forgot what it's called lol) it just feels unnecessary raids are boring,PvP and gambit are fun but, strikes are literally worthless, forges are ok ig lol, nightfall loot is not very good imo.
