You might read the title and say some bs like "well it has pvp and competitive so why not..." I will address that shortly but first let me ask you something. Why out of every shooter on the market, all of which have PVP do you choose the loot shooter to be serious about pvp in? Seriously battlefield, CoD, Overwatch, everything else out as it comes to shooters is PVP based entirely. They don't have any serious PVE to focus on. Hell most of them barely have anything you could call a story anymore. All their eggs are in the pvp basket. Go there.
Now let me ask you why do you think Trials hasn't returned? Why do you think custom games haven't been seriously expanded on to at least reach Halo 2 or 3 levels which are games Bungie made 10 plus years ago and had better custom games? Why do you think when a new expansion is coming they show a bunch of story stuff, a raid teaser, a strike or two, and then maybe show off a pvp map along with a new exotic weapon or a cool armor set they want you to see? It's because the game is and should be PVE centric. It should and always will be the focus. In fact if D3 leaks are to be believed pvp might be open World only. Something I wanted since the beginning.
Stop banking on this games pvp. If that's seriously the "replayability" keeping you here you might as well quit. We have three different horde mode activities, 3 raids, 2 lairs, a dungeon and other things like the Whisper quest to replay. Not to mention strikes which I believe need some improving. PVP is a fun little side activity and that's it. They made competitive with hopes of Esports but that's a joke. It will always be a joke in a lootshooter game with inherent imbalance. Play it for fun. Don't take it so seriously and whine for nerfs.
Edit: a lot of butthurt as expected. I never said remove pvp. I said stop complaining, you can't even agree on the changes. All of a sudden some of you want shotguns gone again. In case you forgot people hated the two primary system which was created because of pvp whining. Same with making many abilities, grenades, melee, recharge rates all weaker. Same with strong exotic weapons.

I play destiny 2's pvp because bungie know better than anyone how to make a gun feel good. Simple as that. I hated pvp in d1 until i forced myself to get good in order to get the chaperone and that quest is easily my most cherished memory of d1. Now i play crucible all the time and enjoy it much better than other pvp focused games. I dont like cod, battlefield is actually the most boring game on the planet to me and yeah i play overwatch but only when my friends play (one day i will convert them to destiny, one day!). Now i dont particularly care about buffs/nerfs im gonna use what ever i enjoy the most anyway, but you cant really fault people for wanting the best version of destiny possible even if it differs from your ideal destiny. People have different tastes simple as that and bungie created these forums so their players can voice their likes and dislikes of the game so that they can try and make it better for everyone.

29 답변I'd like to see pvp removed "Most" (not all!) of the weapon nerfs come from pvp cry babies. And I get fed up with pvp players thinking they're gods. Yeah yeah shooting real player's instead of AI is harder I agree, doesn't mean your better players tho does it? Just because we don't choose to play pvp, doesn't mean we lack skill. Getting the mechanics right in a raid with a bunch of randoms ain't easy either

9 답변If you want quality pve go to red dead.... This games mechanics and gameplay is so unique and fun there are no real competitors (PvP wise)

4 답변lmfao Trials hasn't returned because people figured out how to cheat in it. That's literally it man. This company made it to where it is because of PvP, it's going to stay that way

All the PVE people complaining cause they are total garbage. D2 is a preference game, but dont try to talk shit on PVP just cause your garbage. I have my complaints on PVP as a D1 trickshotter but im not on the forums whining about it. Play your PVE and let them play PVP. i cant believe this is even a discussion lol. although i do agree with all the gun nerf cry babies. but to real PVP players those are mostly the trashy players that cry about the gun nerfs. i remember running against 4 stacks of telesto but its just an "oh well" moment. pick up your panties and keep playing ya babies. PVE is also filled with babies though as i have seen forums on people asking for "easier" raids, its a bot shooting, mechanic based, raiding system, how much easier could it get besides maybe just giving you the free loot.

4 답변Every online "mmo" style (here comes the hate) game needs both PvE and PvP. I've seen many great PvE centric games collapse because the PvP experience wasn't good enough to keep people engaged. No destiny is not PvP centric, but to think we can just throw it away and be totally fine is nonsense.

PvP retains players and finding cool guns to use in PvP is the driving force of the game. It's just sour grapes from bad PvP players. But at the end if the day it's never going to change it's a moot point, PvP is here to stay, so deal with it ;)

2 답변작성자: Lokey0024 1/4/2019 1:28:54 AMI PVE for PvP weapons/gear to use for stat balancing and traits. Destiny PvP is very unique in this. If they added dedicated servers/severe latency restrictions just for pvp it would be 10/10. My opinion.

2 답변Yet many of us play Destiny PvE AND PvP and have no problem with that I've always played both and at times the Crucible can be a blast. I definitely prefer it to any COD PvP I have ever tried
-
i get what you’re saying but the fact that bungie has an entire crucible team on the payroll and the fact that the population is a fairly even split between pvp players and pve players says to me that neither the players nor bungie think crucible is “just a side activity”.

7 답변I barely made it past your first sentence. You act like you created the game and act as if what you think...is the way it is. lame...down voted.

Realistically it all boils down to the game not having enough PvE content to maintain most people's interest. A lot of people, myself included, dont want to grind the same activity with little to no diversity in its layout or format. I like the Raids, but I like them for the initial experience. Strikes are cool for speed running for legendary weapons. The horde modes though? Dont get me wrong, I like them a little but they aren't exactly what I'd call replable. A lot of the games issues come from time constraints, engine limitations, and lack of a large enough live team to make changes to content happen in a relatively timely manner.

3 답변It's a PvE game, but Bungie miss their Halo E-Sport glory days. This game is held back a shitton because of PvP. Everything HAS to "balanced" for the sake of PvP.
-
PvP just needs to be it's own thing - sperate progression, grind, abilities, and gear. Nothing earned in PvE should be brought into PvP and vise versa. You can keep random rolled weapons, just keep it to a small pool of weapons and make unique PvP perks. Abilities can be more finely tuned for PvP and armor can have a heavier impact in builds. If anything falls out of line and does need a nerf, Bungie can make the changes to only affect PvP. I like that Bungie made pinnacle weapons for PvP. They just need to do that, but on a larger scale and restrictive to that activity. From this post alone and in past events and updates, it's clear the the PvP community and the PvE community cannot get along. Separate the two and appease both of their needs without having to make a single decision for one side that negatively impacts the other.

5 답변I agree with you and I believe pve is the best it’s ever been. The only problem is that some of the best weapons in the game are locked in pvp activities.

1 답변For anyone claiming PvP is keeping Destiny 2 alive. Not anymore. According to Destiny Tracker between both D1+D2 there are almost 400,000 less PvP players than PvE.

Yes but... Crucible is like really fun! I love playing! I’m pretty good... please don’t hate for small tiny brag... I take pride in out maneuvering a hunter with the warlock mid air doge and raining arows form the sky! It’s the only mode in this game that I have consistently been able to come back to because it’s hard to get better at and I’m still getting better!

1 답변Destiny 1 was built for PvE and that's why we got such a crazy mess in crucible. Destiny 2 was built for PvP and that's why we got such a boring, unfun, team shooting, wanting to end it my life crucible. At least the crazy mess was fun.

1 답변작성자: Not Pie 1/3/2019 5:54:57 AMSorry the part of the game which doesn’t get boring can become unbalanced by one poor decision a dev made about a gun or armor perk. I get you don’t play crucible, but don’t act like this game was made with a focus on pve, because if that were the case maybe the writing wouldn’t be so lazy and shity.

I'm glad someone said it. Too bad the PvE content in D2 isnt that great IMO. That has multiple reasons behind it but its pretty much stuff we've all said a thousand times. I may have quit, but forum posts like this remind there is SOME good in the Destiny Mob still.
