He doesn't realise the difference between grind and stupid grind, that just makes no sense, some people are just sarcastic for the sake of it, they try to put others down to raise themselves up, all it succeeds in doing is making them look a total prick, this one succeeded.
People expect to grind in games like Destiny for weapons and armour with good rolls etc. Those kind of grinds can be rewarding when the item eventually drops. Grinding nightfalls for a god rolled Mindbenders ambition is challenging and when it drops its equally rewarding.
However there is a fine line between what is an acceptable, enjoyable grind and a mindless, low skill, time sapping tedious grind in lieu of actual season pass content.
Standing around waiting for a random, day 1 D2 public event to start and other obtuse objectives that literally have very little narratively to do with the quest just come off as being total filler. Its just lazy.
They could have done story driven quests like they did with Perfect Paradox, but longer, like Repair the forge by getting materials from a fallen territory which has enemies and a difficult boss at the end.
