Was in the EDZ yesterday... I got hit by a Cabal Shield clear across the entire map. Wish I had a punch like that.

That's usually my experience, standard red bar cabal or captain, minotaur, knight, etc boops me into a nearby shin-high rock. Misadventure, killed by the architects. It's like the fall damage bug from Destiny 1 all over again...
