Wrong end of the problem.
The problem isn't the power setting of the Forges, or getting bounties behind its completion.
The problem is the progression system....and the fact that its been deliberately THROTTLED to slow vertical progress. Its been a problem since Warmind, and a problem that Bungie has largely disregarded community feedback on.
...and now they're reaping the problems that its creating.

The negative curve for the value of drops? Well, that's relatively sensible so you don't get the best from the easiest stuff. If it were so throttled then some few wouldn't have been able to hit 650 already from bounty hoarding, DAY 2

작성자: TheArtist 12/6/2018 3:52:50 PMProblems: 1. Not everyone wants to play all parts of the game. Many people don't enjoy PVP. Others find playing PVE repetitive. So this system removes TONS of player choice. You essentially PUNISH the player for failing to play the entire game. Bad idea. Fuels player burn out and player resentment. 2. Some people are solo players. So access to the raid is gated behind trying to find 5 other people to play with....and the time to raid. Access to the NF is also gated behind a lack of MM. 3. Bungei's decision to not go with a traditional RPG structure of distributing power via the acquiring of EXP and unlocking character abilities on a skill tree. But instead to push 80% of that off onto gear and gear perks. So instead of vertical progression being a simple investment grind like it is in Diablo 3 or Borderlands 2....there is a powerful RNG component. IOW, My progression this week has been slowed considerably by the fact that I keep getting armor drops, rather than weapon drops. So I can't even power-level across characters because the highest power weapons I have are all 605. 4. The fact that Bungie CLEARLY doctors the drop rates of items so that you never have an equal chance of everything on the loot table for a particular slot to drop. When Forsaken dropped I got so many fricking sidearms and grenade launchers are weapon rewards....it was ridiculous. 5. The Enhancement Core economy. WHICH IS THE MAIN WAY IN WHICH PROGRESION IS THROTTLED. Because of points 3 and 4....you get lots of "garbage" drops. Items that are useless to you.....or that dont' fit your play style. Among the weapon drops that I did get this week, were two sidearms (again) and a kinetic sniper. All of which are useless to this PVE player. So the ability to INFUSE them into weapons that I DO use was key to my progressing But you have a material that is required to be used EVERY time you are infusing something that isn't a directly duplicate. (IOW infusind a higher power Misfit into a lower power Misfit) .....and that material is DELIBERATELY kept in a SEVERELY limited supply. 6. So even though there are lots of individual drops, the way the SYSTEM is designed, it acts as a huge bottleneck to progression. You either run out of drops.......or RNG sees to it that you don't get the drops you need....and if RNG doesn't screw you over, you run out of Enhancement Cores you need to infuse. Its a broken system that was designed around a BAD idea for a loot-based game: To SLOW DOWN the vertical progression of those putting the MOST amount of time into the game....and to effectively act as a TIME-GATE to power-progression. Which is going to FRUSTRATE any loot-based game's community. Because you've now divorced the rate of progression from player EFFORT....and now tied it to When, and What is played....and Luck. TLDR: I got a drop last night that is the problem with this game's progression in a nutshell. I got as one of my Gambit drops a GOD-rolled Truth. Power 606 with rolled with IIRC---steady rounds, Zen Moment and Outlaw. The thing is a super accurate, PVE MURDER MACHINE. So much so that its a gun that I want to Masterwork. But I can't do it. I've got about 30 cores....and I have to save ALL OF THEM so that my characters can level up. #Meaningful Choice. Which is Bungie-speak for a painful choice from artificially-and-severely limited options. Which angers players and makes play a FRUSTRATING rather than a fun experience.

i would ignore the community on this feed back aswell as what good has it done for bungie? people bitched that things were to hard so what do they do they made it easier then the same people bitched that it was two easy. so why listen to a community that does not know what they want
