The problem with Osiris was that it was boring after the first few hours.
If Black Armory is boring at first, but then provides stuff to do for the next 3 months that isn't boring..
It's still way better than Curse of Osiris.
The thing with a problem like "Not being high enough power?" It goes away.
Boring content like CoO never gets un-boring.

That’s true. Let’s hope it’s how Black Armory turns out. All Bungie had to do though was set the first forge at a lower, more manageable level (550-575). Then increase it for the 2nd, increase again for the third and fourth. That would have created a progression system in the expansion, and would have given a lot more people something to play right now. -
I actually agree that they should have set it lower, but I think like 600 or 605 would have been fine. I'm not even a particularly hardcore player, and I've had all three of my characters at 600 for 4 weeks or so. 550 would be absolutely trivial, and that's no fun, either.

I have 3 at 600, but think a lower entry point to get more interest would have been good. There are a lot of guardians around the 550’s. After the 1st forge set the level to increase progressively as we move onto the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. That way most people would have something to play from the expansion. -
yup.. sales for the game, doesn't mean profits will go down.. They want more sales and they want profits.. If they can find the sweet spot and get rid of the fluff, they will have it made. Don't expect that they will cater to ultra casuals anymore. Look at the forsaken and the hit milestones, buy X formula, its built on the premise that hardcore players will purchase and purchase often. I would put money on it that it will be successful and that it will stay and that the game is going to continue in this vein for some time.
