1) do it legally and in an orderly fashion instead of using numbers and violence to physically rush the border.
2) dont throw rocks at law enforcement.

Do these....and none of the drama we saw at the border becomes necessary. Which is why none of it happened in any of the OTHER countries that played by the rules and didn't try to arbitrarily keep them out.

25 답변작성자: Peaches Pan Tao 12/3/2018 3:06:30 PMOnly problem with number 1 is the fact that the legal and orderly fashion is broken, and takes people years to work through. The people from Honduras stand a good chance of dying if they stay in their country, a country that one could make a strong argument for being in chaos due to bad US foreign policies over the decades. From that perspective, I think the US and (to a degree) other Western powers have a responsibility to mitigate the situation. I dont want to sound triggered, but rather than letting the caravan slowly plod its way here to arrive (low and behold) just when the wall is up for funding in Congress, Trump might have reached out to the international community and found a solution to what is a complicated humanitarian crises. Rather than prolonging human suffering at the expense of his own agenda. Instead of treating it like an existential threat, he might have used it as an opportunity to build bridges and right wrongs. One of my biggest problems with Trump is the "us against the world" mentality that he fosters and feeds off of. And while a President certainly must defend the interests of the country he serves, isolationism is simply not a productive position in today's world. You can isolate, or try to isolate, but long term I see it doing more harm than good. Both to ourselves and the rest of the world. There, thats as triggered as you are going to get me today. lol. Edit: As Kelly helpfully pointed out, these people are refugees, which means the standard laws for immigrants do not apply in their case.
