I made a new/alt account and started a new guardian. Made a Warlock but that doesn't matter for this.
Played the Homecoming mission and then Spark, unlocked crucible and hopped in. Quickplay, mind you.
A level 4 warlock with nothing but white gear.
Very first match: One guy with a Not Forgotten.
My team mates weren't mentally handicapped and it was Vostok so I guess the field was more or less evened and we won the match.
But the very second match: A four stack, with at least one Luna. They completely stomped us and emote'd at the end.
Third match: An ongoing control match. No big teams, only a double. But I entered, as expected on the losing side. I got supered three or four times within the first thirty or fourty seconds and I had no means of fighting back because to this day, almost five years of Destiny total, you still enter ongoing matches without any super energy. Oh yeah, and there were Luna's Howls a plenty too.
Next match: Fairly decent team distribution and no notable amount of pinnacle weapons. Instead all people played super sweaty and tryhard and I lost count of how many Nova Warps on the enemy team got multikills. The alarm sound of the enemy team getting power play after power play kind of made me lose count before we lost around 50 to 150 with four people in my team going negative while only one person in the opposing team was negative and one went 20.0 in KD
The game after that: Ongoing control match again, score was 44 to 97. I decided I was done, for now, and bailed out.
After three matches I got "breaking up those teams for better matches". And it never worked because these kinds of matches and constellations are all you get, even as a fresh player with horrible gear and no abilities to defend oneself.
Bungie, Crucible is in an absolutely abysmal state. Matchmaking is just one of the issues. There are way more of them.
And here you are, revealing patch notes for Black Armory entirely ignoring the immense need PvP has for quality of life improvements resulting in massive frustration only shortly after you took a few right steps with Forsaken. If you omit changes or nerf things for a reason or great master plan then you clearly failed to state or hint and reasons for your actions and should that be the case then you are making a big mistake in gambling with trust not yet fully restored.
And personally, I'm sorry, but I no longer think anyone in the studio is listening. It seems to me now that you sit on your ears and only pay attention when you feel the situation gets dire. The picture I got from the forums and feedback is drastically different from the things you adress or miss to adress. It merely feels like you deliberately or accidentally smoothly move between critique and and feedback. And I think that's just indefensible given the dire situation D2 was in before Forsaken.
Honestly, to this day I think Destiny in PvE and PvP has massive potential, way more than has been utilized in any content drop or QoL fix. And after so many years seeing this potential left behind unused is frustrating and irritating.
I wanted to get this off my chest because, I guess at the core of it all, I like Destiny. And I like playing it. But I think that not adressing issues and problems and pretending that everything is fine does not help. Neither in the short and certainly not in the long run.

1 답변Its quickplay, lol you dont just get a trophy for playing. Get better, and on a new character you will get stomp... thats the purpose of grinding for gear. DuH. You complain that there is nothing to grind, then when there is you complain that the grind is too hard or that the reward is too OP. Pathetic.

8 답변- Goes into a game with starter weapons, gets pub stomped by players with good things unlocked. No shit. Go play COD as a level 1 with nothing unlocked and tell me how that goes. Play Halo as a solo player and get matched against a team of 4 people coordinating with mics and lemme know what happens. Any non ranked playlist is going to do this in any video game. Deal with it

Maps suck, they screwed up the old maps they brought back.. I feel competitive weapons should ONLY be used in competitive (Luna..Not Forgotten.. Redrix..). These maps are too small for 6v6 and it's more like rumble than control.. it's pathetic.

34 답변I like how bungie told all of us very clearly a long time ago that they removed SBMM, and you guys are pretending like they didn’t say that. This community is hilarious

10 답변I quit playinh PVP and now only play PVE and am much happier. Hoard modes are coming so that’s how I am going to spend my time. I have had a blast going after that pinnacle fusion rifle. Beautiful strikes, no sweaty „lunatics”. It is time to dump PVP and prep Destiny to take on Anthem. PVP is like a stone that is taking Destiny to the bottom.

10 답변작성자: Guardian3681 12/2/2018 3:02:44 PMI wish they would just implement a skill based matchmaking where the best players didn’t always play the best players but were never matched against the worst. My suggestion would be a broad type of SBMM that doesn’t completely ruin the experience for lower skill players but also gives high skill players could match diversity. I think a system where they separate the pvp playerbase into 5 tiers may work where the best players are in the 5th tier and the worst or beginners are in the first tier. How it would work would be that players in a certain skill tier could be matched with other players in their skill tier and players 1 or 2 tiers better or worse. For each tier, It would work like this: -1st tier could match with players in the 1st or 2nd tier -2nd tier could match with players in the 1st 2nd or 3rd tier -3rd tier could match with players in the 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th tier -4th tier could match with players in the 3rd 4th and 5th tier -5th tier could match with players in the 3rd 4th and 5th tier. The difference between the 4th and the 5th tier would be that 4th tier players see higher numbers of 3rd tier played in their lobbies on average Hopefully this would keep the best of the best out of bad or new players lobbies while keeping good players from constantly playing sweaty matches.

1 답변I never understood why they put people on the losing team when that team trailing far behind from the winning team. I guess the system can't predict every outcome of a match a comeback doesn't happen all the time but blowing the lead happens more often.

12 답변No one can change my mind on this, but I think pinnacle weapons are just bad for crucible (unless they are locked to only being used in Competitive). Yes you will have different skill levels, but pinnacle weapons like Luna’s/NF actually make skilled players even better. Luna’s kills you quicker than you can even charge a fusion rifle. I can’t understand why anyone would think driving a bigger wedge between skilled and average players (especially in quickplay) with pinnacle weapons is a good thing?

Quickplay is exactly that quick, no favoured matchmaking you get matched with random people and yeah in the second year of destiny people are gunna be running round with pinnacle weapons they grafted for they deserve too Tldr; stop whining about bad your bad luck when you played 4 matches

작성자: TechnoKat 12/4/2018 3:45:20 PMI'm in the same boat. I love Destiny. Well. I love the idea of Destiny. But BUNGiE? After a Decade of love for the company and their work with HALO and most importantly their work with their HALO community, I wanted to believe that BUNGiE wouldn't change when they signed up with Activision. After House of Wolves? I woke the -blam!- up and left. A friend bought me D2 and all, yes all, of the content to come and to my dismay, Forsaken - The absolute best Destiny 2 has to offer - is still only just at the bar of what can be considered an 'acceptable' update in a AAA title. Truth is, all BUNGiE has to do to fix the crucible's biggest issues outside of balance, is to pay for some -blam!-ing servers so nobody lags and turn around to re-implement SBMM. Problem is that you worded it about as right as it could possibly get: BUNGiE sits on their ears. The company that used to actively play with it's fanbase and even handed them FORGE back in the day? That company is -blam!-ing dead. BUNGiE, is dead. Bungovision is all that remains and, while I'm seeing some signs of life in their PR it's too late to bring BUNGiE back. The company isn't what it used to be, and between the stunts they pulled with their own employees and the shit they threw at their fanbase it will never return to that glory.

So here’s an idea I’ll just throw out there. Block weapons like Luna and the other god tier hand cannon that’s name eludes me now from quick play only allow them in the competitive playlist. They can lock weapons and gear for nightfalls and trials why can’t they lock Luna etc out of quick play. Them a least the really good players don’t get to use the god tier weapons on players that are not as good.

This is definitely one of the reasons why new players will probably be turned off from Crucible once they experience this kind of B.S. It's one of the reasons why a lot of players would prefer to stay out of Crucible, if possible, and why they would prefer a PvE route when a PvP objective is required.
