I paid for the game, I'll play how I want, if you want a team of swears then go LFG? Noone has any right to tell others how to play, I've got the Breakneck, Malfeasance and just need to ghost for title so win/loss doesn't really bother me.
If I want to try hard and win then I'll play in a stack.

I paid for it as well. The fact is that its a cooperative team based game mode with the objective of winning. Thats what you signed up for. Thats the commitment you make when you press the button. If you want to try and justify being an asshole go for it. It doesnt make you any less of one. This post isnt telling you to sweat. Basic strategy is not sweating. Kill the Wizards is not sweating. Bank your motes is not sweating.
-
Then go play with friends or in a stack? Especially if winning means so much to you... I always kill the Wizards and bank every 5 motes, and will always hunt the invader, do I see people die with 15 motes? Yeah sure, does it actually bother me and affect my life in anyway? Nope.
-
When Im serious I do. To avoid dumb team mates. That however doesnt change the fact that you committed to playing your best in a cooperative team based game mode and are giving blatant disregard to cooperating.
-
Again I disagree, some people just play to get catalyst kills, some people are doing bounties some people are only good at PvE, some are PvP pros, others may simply just not be as good as others. Do they need to follow these stupid "rules"? -blam!- no. If you get 3 other players that can't tell the difference between a mote and grass then leave the lobby after. To me it's a very casual mode and you don't really commit to anything as rewards are given either way.
-
Why they join is irrelevant. The bottom line is you make a commitment when joining. The least you can do is try your best because it isnt just about you and your personal goals. If you suck at the game thats fine, heres advice to suck less. If you still suck fine, at least you tried.
-
The commitment is the cooperative objective. Listen justify it how you want but it still makes you a dick. Just dont expect anything from anyone anywhere and itll be just like one of those sociopathic modern cities. See a guy dying on the sidewalk? Nah not your problem just keep walkin'. Expect nothing from nobody.

Don't compare a game to how people act in real life. That's just sad. End of the day people will, and rightly so, play how they want, it's their right, I'm sure not many think "OMG I've clicked on this activity and now I have to play to 110% of my ability or else the team will get upset and winge on the forums" It's a casual game mode, I'd expect people to try and play well in competitive playlists, but Gambit? Lol no.
-
Oh really. Its not comparable? People are dicks IRL for the same selfish mentality. Its infectious. Except here the world is a little bit smaller and you can actually make a difference. Nobody is asking for %110. Only your best. If it were casual it wouldnt be called competetive. It even says competetive on the tooltip.
-
No it's not lol how people act in a video game is nothing like how they would in real life. Bungie even said it's a casual game mode and I'll look for the quote later. End of the day it doesn't really matter and people can play how want.
-
Its always been marketed as competetive and even says competetive on the button. You're right. People arent often the same IRL. If they're dicks in game they most likely arent IRL because they would have concequences to face. It all depends on what people can and cant get away with. You can get away without giving a homeless guy change, you can get away with most anything in a game. You can prob get away with keying someones car, but you might not. Its the same thing with relion really too. If people are only good people because of fear of reprocussions theyre not good people. The internet is a mostly filterless and inconcequential place. You see how people really are.
-
Well yeah but getting slightly off topic lol If someone in a Gambit match needs 15 motes but keeps dying does that make them a bad person/player? Imo it doesn't. If someone needs invader kills for Malfeasance but can't play PvP for the life of them does that make them a bad person/player? Again, it doesn't. Just comes back to if winning means so much to you, find a team.

작성자: Mara Sov’s Step Bro 12/1/2018 12:52:42 PMSlightly, yes. I would argue it does mean they're bad at the game. The only reason I can see for not wanting to improve through these very basic tips is if someone doesnt care and thats my point. You cant join a competetive cooperative team based game mode with the mindset of not caring because its about everyone on the team and the myriad of reasons they may be there. You can still get your 20 Rocket kills or Large Blockers by playing the game cooperatively in a way that isnt selfish and hurting your team mates. The difference is it likely wont be as fast because you're not playing selfishly

To put it lightly... In FFXIV you have 8 people and if even 1 of them messes up a single one out of 10 or more mechanics or walks too far to the left, its a wipe. All that on top of complex rotations and priority systems that have an average of 30+ hotkey slots I do find Destiny verrrrrrrrry casual. But I dont see why a casual wouldnt care about playing well. Its a FPS, its adrenaline. Winning and doing crazy shit is fun. Popping the heads off of 6 Cabal as fast as Midnight Coup can fire is fun. Wiping an enemy team is fun. Getting stomped isnt fun. These tips help alleviate that.
