It's absurd that they're still worse than pulse rifles. They need some major love in pve and pvp

1 답변Absolutely. Pulses have been the meta since TTK. I’d like to see some wide open maps for sniper/scout play.

The problem isn’t scouts entirely, it is, I think, stage design. Too close range, and the few long sight lines we have provide too many bits of cover or curved walls to draw scout users into bad positions. The slow scouts struggle almost for this reason alone. That’s my opinion anyways. Also, the fastest rate of fire (veist rapid fire frame) scouts have too low of a base range stat, making is very difficult to use them at mid-long range. They’re actually surprisingly effective within their range, but it is very awkward using a scout and having low accuracy within pulse rifle territory. I think people should try this frame out and see if they agree.

Bows have basically replaced them in terms of damage and range. They are easily the worst weapons right now, and are not even worth mentioning or having in any slot. You just feel like you're wasting your kinetic or energy slot by having one equipped in either slot.

I mean I'm not gonna tell you to main it by any means but if you're looking to switch things up it's a nice change.

작성자: Reclaimer 12/1/2018 11:03:15 AMIt’s less about Scout Rifles underperforming than it is about Pulse Rifles covering the same effective ranges with better consistency, versatility, and damage, which they shouldn’t be. Scout Rifles are also considerably less forgiving, with no real advantages for use. The former is generally why people (myself excluded; I still love them) don’t bother with them.

They knew about this at the end of Season 3. When the week before release came out, people noticed that Scouts had been nerfed (most think it was to make Bows look better) and even Deej mentioned it that they had broken them and they would be fixed. Guess they forgot that promise too.

3 답변Correct me if I'm wrong but in pvp scouts have the same TTK as hand cannon RPM archetypes. Scouts are fine if you use them correctly. And they just got a pve buff as well. Using Polaris Lance on my hunter and doing just fine pvp and pve.

I think Bungie did this on purpose because in D1 scouts were beasts and you had plenty to choose from while pulses weren't really used as much. Now in D2 pulses are in abundance and scouts are meh at best... Just look at the way the maps are set up, too cluttered for scouts to really be as useful as they once were, IMO of course. I wish they would drop a few bigger less cluttered maps for us and give scouts a little makeover to better resemble what we had in D1 for PVP and PVE.

2 답변I still use frostmires hex, but definitely fed up with it being outdone at range by pulse and hand cannons

8 답변작성자: Pocket Fox 12/1/2018 7:21:48 AMThey could buff scout rifles by another 15% and they'd still be outclassed by pulse rifles in PvE. That's why I don't call for scout rifle buffs anymore. Because the only way to fix scout rifles is to nerf pulse rifles. And I've already made the switch to pulse rifles. 95% of my time in this game, from 2014 until September of 2018, has been with a scout rifle primary. It's time to let it go and move on.

1 답변Polaris has been quite a bit better since patch. It's my favorite gun in the game, I hope scouts get some more love! Also, the new ornament for it <3

1 답변They are very map dependant. They do shine on Midtown and Equinox though. Noobs refuse to switch from their lunas and dust rocks so I just shit on them from far away with my scout and fusion rifle.
