Are you Ikellos haters happy now?
All you haters out there got Ikellos nerfed. Now the energy slot has one less option.

I worked my ass off for that gun, now its nerfed, great.

7 답변Chill, dude. Most of the players are from PVE. And nobody wants nerfs in PVE. It happens that Bungie is always cramming PVP in everything. So, even though the majority of the players want PVE content, Bungie doesn´t care. And this rage about nerfing goes back to 2014 and the Suros Regime in D1. They nerfed, it sucked, nobody did a thing about it. So, sorry bro.

That being said they need to just make more awesome legendary weapons like the ikelos shotty. PvE is supposed to be where we feel powerful.

I think it's more "now if you want to be as viable as possible you have more options" Wasn't the right call IMO, we're at a low point in power and we should absolutely be going up. Buff things like merciless, introduce a worse version of the perk into the shotgun pool, stuff like that. But it gets the job done. Ultimately, whether it's 1 nerf or numerous buffs the end's very close to the same. Only difference is one makes us feel weaker (mentally at the least)

5 답변Truthfully, it should not be consired a nerf but a buff. Reason is because now other shotties have the Trench barrel perk, meaning that now any shotgun frame can be a bigger inprovement if you have the right perks and mods.

Usually you get knocked back anyways so there are going a few seconds. So you could get only that many trench barrel shots in anyways. The gun is not less powerful. I ran the Shatterd Throne with it and Gambit and 100K Nightfalls and it slices through like usual. The gun is not weaker. Do the Math or try it out yourself, I play Gambit with it like usual and against shielded enemies it sliced through like usual without even the trench. It’s back to normal. It requires if you have an enemy which stands still, one more punch. It reloads faster after the update. This whole discussion about the nerf forgets to mention it. It’s only needed because another gun will have the perk too, and they wanna balance the perk that it’s not going to be as powerful as the Ikelos. The Ikelos will stay on top even after. If the new gun should make more damage then the Ikelos then we can have a discussion, but right now the Ikelos will stay the beast of beasts. No harm done.

I was never a Ikelios hater, I’ve used mine a lot but to now see a nerf coming when it was so far and away between than anything else on the game would be exceptionally naive. It was horribly overpowered, outclassing not only every other primary/secondary weapon but also every heavy weapon too in terms of raw DPS, and not even by a small amount. Personally I’d of been happier for it to stay as it was and moved into the heavy slot, which in my opinion is a far more suitable place for it.

5 답변I havent tried it yet but a nerf is a nerf and this one sounds like Bungie pulled another Bungie. What the -blam!- is it to any of these nerf mongers applauding the nerf, which weapon I want to use? If you didn't want to use the ep shotgun, didja miss out on the fact you could swap to something else....git gud some of them say... git off the nerf train kids

3 답변I actually never read any hate on Ikelos shotgun to be honest.. I don't have it, but I never hated it, never complained about it. I don't agree with nerving it though. I think nerfing anything is a slippery slope where more and more weapons will get nerfed. Instead I think Bungie should create more viable options, give other weapons a boost. Otherwise this will go the Destiny 1 direction.. every weapon gets nerfed to the point where you are just disappointed with how the weapons perform. Gjallarhorn was a very big disappointment to use at the end of D1 for example and weapons felt lackluster. I really hope they prevent that.

I'd like to destroy whatever weapon is most broken now. You had more than enough time to find a different energy weapon to use and you should have seen the nerf coming the minute it became a win condition in Gambit and by far the best energy weapon for pretty much everything outside of PvP, where it was still solid. It's your own fault for exclusively using the Shotgun then complaining when Bungie's metrics say it's overused.

Not sure what haters you are talking about.. since I never really saw any complaints about the shotgun to begin with. This was another nerf that bungie decided to do on their own with little to no feedback from the community. At least they were upfront with this nerf, unlike there ninja nerfing to poor scout rifles.. which are still trash and need some buffing.

What do you want to destroy next?[/quote] For me, Bungie nerfed it because of Gambit and no other reason. But as usual, Bungie (purposely) fails to address and fix the real issues with Gambit. Primevil will still be melted too quickly, and that is the real issue that needs addressing and fixed. Weapons are never the problem, why Bungie seems to think that nerving a weapon is the answer, I will never understand!

5 답변It hasn’t made any real difference at all. The gun is still top tier in it’s slot. The “nerf” really hasn’t affected the gun in a way most people are complaining about.
