It has a pretty decent base range at 47(admittedly more than most 180’s base range, most of which are from year 1) that’s also the full extent of it’s range. It’s main competitor is Trust, which has a base range of 37, but a half decently rolled Trust can easily surpass Luna’s. Trust can roll barrel options and perks that can increase it’s range, a range masterwork, and even damage increasing perks. Similar to Magnificent Howl in that they help combat damage drop off, but do not technically increase your range or accuracy. It can also roll the well known Explosive Payload perk, which again can artificially increase your range since the explosion damage has a set value and doesn’t have damage drop off. The flinch from this perk is noticeable, as I lost many gunfights to Trust’s that had this perk while mine did not, and still do while I use Luna. Anyone who has a well rolled Trust and also has Luna could tell you that there is a staggering difference in their consistency at range. I used my Trust for most of my time in Comp and in QP before that. Luna’s took some getting used to and I couldn’t reliably challenge at ranges that my Trust could. Btw, Malfeasance has 46 range and imo has a perk more reliable at further ranges. All you have to do is land 5 body shots(instead of managing to get 2 consecutive headshots) and the perk does the rest of the work. The only other 180’s that could compete is A Cold Sweat(has two sights for increased range) from Trials(range stat of 44) and West of Sunfall 7(range stat of 45) and these are year 1 weapon’s that can’t be MW for Range or get randomly rolled range perks. WoS7 might even tie or pass Luna’s in range, considering it has range increasing barrel perks plus Accurized Rounds or HCR. I’ve used WoS7 to beat Luna’s, since it has the range to compete and HCR can flinch. Also, all 110 rpm HC’s and the better 140’s can easily surpass Luna’s range with perks and or Range MW. The Duke MK 44 has a range stat of 68 and MW Sturm is also ridiculous. To sum this all up, Luna’s is exceptional for it’s archetype but doesn’t have absurd range. Not Forgotten is obviously number one, followed by Trust, then either WoS7 or Luna’s. This is what you should expect from a weapon that is difficult to obtain, although I think most could get it if they put in the time and effort.
