Now before I give my stance on exotic drops lemme just say, I DO NOT WANT VANILLA D2 EXOTIC RATES...THEY WERE BAD
Now then, my grinding method involves me doing all of my milestones and earning 250 legendary shards, i then spend those shards on planetary materials from the spider which roughly accumulates to 1000-1200 materials
I went down to Mercury yesterday, and after i turned in one group of materials i got an exotic...a prospector
So i dismantled the gear into shards and cores, went back to spider and bought some more materials...around 1000 more
What did I get? Nothing...the drop rates are insulting in my opinion
What do you guys think?

I’ve been playing daily just because the game is fun and when I get exotics, it just adds on the to fun. Just play to play and when you get an exotic, you’ll have it but if you’re grinding primarily to get them, it won’t be fun.

I'm in the middle on this issue at the moment. The stuff I'm finding rewarding is in the game stuff - lore, solo ascendant time trials, finally started my Titan and once I unlock dreaming city I'll get the Hunter going, whisper catalyst - that kind of stuff. I do feel that for the time spent and activities completed I really ought to have at least a few more Forsaken exotics. I've had 1 - Geomag Stabilizers - and I would like to have had at least half the Weapons and some more armour pieces by now. However, it's not spoiling the game for me and I've worked with what I have, and that has been fun developing styles in itself. Just started Titan and enjoying Code of The Protector/Doomfang setup.

I've made several posts about this already. I'm 4/4 on dupe drops after the dupe protection patch. There are way too many issues with RNG that Bungie actively ignores. I think what we need are 3oC back. The actual D1 version, not the broken D2 iteration. We need to tip the scales in favor of those who RNGesus has Forsaken. As for me, I'm going to wait until Xur starts selling new exotics and buy every single one of them. I've given up.

1 답변Yes this game is unrewarding. It’s designed to keep you playing not to reward you. It gets more obvious all the time, and it’s wearing thin on a lot of players. There will be Bungie apologists who will say “this is the best game has ever been” and ignore its flaws. I love Bungie and Destiny. I hate D2 Forsaken and the lack of exotics (so we can’t even experience the new exotics while they are relevant) and the horrible drop rate of duplicates is one of the reasons.

The rng is trash. You’ll see those saying “don’t hand them out like candy”... yet, every single time, bungie has to address it and creates paths that make it easier eventually. It is just part of the coding to build addiction. Destiny is a pay for a chance to get early access with its content. That is it. If the content was not so dry, I would not mind not getting exotics.. but the game is boring as is.. and seeing players having endless supers in pvp because they got lucky is awesome. :/

2 답변I’ve had 2 forsaken exotics drop so far. Completing all milestones and powerful drops makes me want to dust off old games that have been neglected.

Heres the thing. I have almost all Forsaken Exotics. RNGesus has blessed me. Someone will always get screwed with RNG - thats just the nature of the game. You can be the guy who gets loot or the guy who doesnt get loot. The only difference between Y1 and Y2 RNG is that RNGesus is now equally screwing everyone. Pick a side. Either you want loot or you dont. So Im happy that the people who complained exotics were too easy to get - while I was sitting on 500 hours, 3000 heroic public events and over 200000 PvE kills and hundreds of exotic engrams and 60+ Leviathan full clears... ... are now reaping what they sow. Maybe after 6 months theyll know how I felt

Rememeber that there arent that many forsaken exotics to begin with and out of those exotics, your supposed to get one for your current class. So lets say (im too lazy) theres 35 exotics per class plus 7 more in forsaken. The odds of a duplicate are much higher. On the drop rate itself. I dont mind. I like the "Ooooooooooohhhhhh" feeling when one drops." And Honestly, Lets face it. If your are on the hardcore side, and there is no grind, thats bad. For the casual, and I mean casual, that player is not going to really feel the effects of that exotic in their low amount of play time, it sucks if there is somthing you really want, sure. But if you are looking for say the shards and you only play for like 30mins to 1 hour a day, are you really gonna notice not having that exotic?

4 답변You only have one character though. My advise? Make more characters. Triple the chances of a new exotic

I got 3 duplicates after the supposed update, I haven’t played in days and don’t plan to play this game until its fixed. I do love going to the forums to see if anything has changed but it seems nothing has been done about the drops.
