The only people who use the “Wow you’re so good at a video game.” excuse are pussies who are absolutely seeing red because of how salty they are that they are not good at said video game. Ok, as a decent player myself, I think I can say that the way the game is, it's broken. Secondary weapons being used as primary weapons is exactly what people wanted to get away from. Now we have that but high impact shotguns have way too much range and telesto is completely -blam!-ed. I say that having used them. I still do, cause it's a crutch and if I'm going up against it then why limit myself? Do I like it? -blam!- no, I hate it and myself for relying on such cheap means of winning but the more skill based weapons I use, the less chance of winning a gun fight I have. Shotguns straight up need a range nerf, not a massive one but a decent one, and the maps need to be bigger, with less emphasis on small corridors.

Well, I don't main a shotgun or anything. I simply use them when I have to. Up until I started competitive this week I've done everything I can to keep myself from becoming completely reliant on these weapons. This week has taught me however that you have to use these weapons to give yourself every possible advantage. And if you disagree with everything I said, why are you calling it a crutch? Besides, any decent player can and will use a crutch weapon at some point, if it's meta, it's meta. You could say that Luna's howl's is a crutch, you have to work for it, but not really, just equip a shotgun or telesto and win if you have any situational awareness at all.

Find something you can specifically perform very well with and run with it. It’s honestly not that hard IF you actually are decent. It seems like the label you gave yourself is false. No, Luna’s Howl is not a crutch, it’s not broken or OP. It’s a very good weapon that takes time to get. And to get it, most people had to do weeks of comp grinding with ANOTHER weapon before they could get it, and do GOOD. Meaning they don’t need Luna’s to do well. You seem to be pulling at straws for any and every excuse for using a crutch, when there is no excuse.

Also, I'm not doubting that people did well to get Luna's howl. However some get carried through, some cheat, and some do it legit. The gun itself though while rewarding and while people don't need it to do well, makes gun fights way easier so why wouldn't you use it? You'll win far more fun fights with a high RoF hand canon that 3 taps with no recoil over most other weapons, except probably a telesto...
