Our Game Security Team issues an escalating series of enforcement actions twenty four hours per day, and we also issue some enforcement actions in big waves. We don't announce our enforcement actions because it gives cheaters information on how our detection works.
Since November 1st, we’ve issued enforcement actions to 1,120 players for violating our terms of service, including cheat programs, network manipulation, and DDoS. Our Game Security Team is always updating our monitoring tools to detect ever-changing attacks, and a human verifies every punishment before it is issued.
As always, if you believe to have encountered someone cheating, please use this contact form to report suspects accordingly.

You banned 1120 players out of an average of 7.63 million player/days. “This is amazing”! Just enough to say “we are doing something”, but not enough to deter it. Your rate of enforcement is very encouraging if a player is NOT concerned you will catch them cheating 😱. Translation: cheaters are 😂🤣 (Averages from Destinytracker.com 848000 pvp players daily average x 9 days in November 2018.)

작성자: RingersCheckmate 11/10/2018 5:28:23 PMThat’s... not how that works. There aren’t a different 848k players playing each day dude, you need to give this some more thought... If I’m the only person playing a game for nine days I’m only one player, that doesn’t magically become nine players.
-
How do you get that insane high number. You know that only around 800k ppl play right not 7.6 million. If I play for 9 days that's not 9 ppl playing, just 1 playing for 9 days. You can't just multiply the number, the player base is pretty static at the moment. It's like adding pve/pvp figures together to get a daily player number, it's false you can't just do that
-
No stupid maths. If only 2 people ever played destiny, John and Sarah, and they play destiny for 9 days then that does not suddenly become 18 people, it's still only 2 people they can ban, John and Sarah. Multiplying the figure does not multiply the actual players in game that can be banned, let that sink in eh

Why not allow name and shame ? Least have some sort of trial and see how it works Even create an area within forums for the players to post their links , it’s obvious the in game reporting system isn’t working , maybe it’s down to man power , but having all links in 1 area , even separate it for each system, Bungie can check the links and deal with it ,.surely this would be worth a go Just an idea , probably a bad one , but better than doing nothing

Totally agree. I’ve seen players have lock-on hacks and network manipulation. Name shame should have at least footage. And then bungie team is required to give a definitive yes/no on the matter. At least this way, we can show them what’s happening.
We don't announce our enforcement actions because it gives cheaters information on how our detection works.
We know how it works, you put your hands in your back pockets and if you do manage to find your arse, which is rarely, you let it keep all rewards and ban it long enough to make a cup of tea and a sandwich before going back to cheating.

작성자: Dunkinuts 11/10/2018 9:57:32 AMWell dmg04 the "security actions" are not working very well. I was DDos twice this week, causing my router to go down for a few hours. Lets look at the net result of that: 1) My router was pretty much useless for a lengthy time period, (more than 3hrs) I could no longer play Destiny. 2) I lost a potential win streak 3) I get banned for leaving a game I get punished for the cheaters in my eyes. Lets look at the net result for the cheaters: 1) They win a match 2) They progress on with there win streaks 3) They earn a bundle of cash 4) The guy they are carrying or doing an account recovery for, gets to advance 5) They do not get a ban and continue to be able to play/cheat Summary: Cheating in this case clearly pays well. It comes down to morals, you either sit in the "I wont cheat camp" and live with the crap that is laid before us or jump into the cheating camp and pretty much win what ever you like. Choice is ours Guardians. There will always be scum amongst us, we have to make our own choice where we sit. For all of you that cannot understand what DDos is, it really does not matter whether you understand it technically or not. A simple search on the most popular search engine for "how to DDos on Xbox and PS4" will tell you what you need to do. Follow the hundreds of videos and BOOM 15 mins and you are in the cheating camp. I was very surprised how easy it is for scum to do this. However don't confuse this with, "its Bungies fault." It isn't just Bungie, the way to DDos applies to all sorts of games/forums etc etc. Any kind of internet based product that brings others together on the same server is at risk. Personally I would like Microsoft to put a system within my console to stop people seeing my IP address so easily. This is where the Gaming Devs from all houses need to band together and put pressure on the console manufacturers to act. Make them develop a system shipped out within the console. Allowing us to agree, say with Bungie to access out IP address. If hackers can then get through Bungie to our console, then its Bungies security thats at fault. I have no technical savvy so this is just IMO and very broad. Right now though, I feel Bungie need to remove quest lines that require a win or rank up. Replace it with other ways to advance, I don't know what, but for example, 500 head shots with a certain weapon, it could be anything. Removing the must win X amount or rank up to Legend from a quest at least helps us. It takes some of the reasons to DDos away. Those cheaters will then require us to play so they can get X amount of head shots themselves, rather than removing us. Again just my thoughts. Cheating in any form is for the weak, cheating in a video game is pretty pathetic, sad even. Losers in life will always be with us.

작성자: Guardian6370 11/10/2018 9:44:41 AMyour system just isn’t good enough, 1200 over 3 platforms isn’t really a lot , how many of these were console players compared to pc ? I’d guess most are pc for using 3 rd party apps I play on ps and I wouldn’t even consider playing competitive, and I’m starting to think I should do same with gambit. Log on to crucible anytime and 2 out of 3 times you will come up against some form of cheating , not to mention the bad connection due to lack of dedicated servers , and it’s getting worse not better . If this is the best Bungie can do , then this game is finished , I play for fun and crucible is anything but fun , maybe you’s should go play ur own game for while, after all these years PvP is getting worse not better , if it’s not sorted in destiny 2 I certainly won’t be buying destiny 3 no matter what is promised. Mass ban all the cheaters name and shame them Let the majority of players see u taking action , u might even find other players will start coming back to ur game .

Could you please not DDOS another 25 teams in a row. Please? If you continue our next message will have slightly more harsh wording" Lmao. Bungie are so pathetically weak. What a joke of a company. Half a billion dollars on no dedicated server P2P dogshit with zero security. What a disgusting joke.
