They just never learn, do they? Forget the fact most people didn't like the artificial longevity of other time gated content before, let's do it again...
It's true.. after you do stage 1 of the Quest you are now forced to wait an amount of time for the next stage... we got literally 2 min of content which wasn't content any different than what was already in the game, just pick up 10 drops. I think many of us were under the impression this quest would be more of a uh... story quest...
I am not here moaning about not having rewards right away - I'm disappointed because I thought me and my friend would have a QUEST to do together... what we got instead was a glorified, timegated Patrol.

Imo time-gated content is fine if it is done right. Today I was logging in to do the quest and I was done after one public event. One ******* public event.... It is just hilarious how Bungie thinks that doing content that already exists can be called a "quest". "Do some strikes" "Do some public events" "Do some Escalation Protocol completions" "Do x kills with y weapon type equiped" (Imo this is as bad as asian mmos which only have "go to location x and kill y enemies" quests). Those arent quest-steps - those are ingame chores calling it a "quest". This is just forcing players to do ingame-activities bcs Bungie cant do decent quests. And now I have to wait (until next tuesday I guess?) and I bet the next quest-step will be done in 4-5 minutes again and will be another effortless chore. And that is how you get ppl to complain about time-gated content.... Why not handle the quest like Bungie did handle it with the whisper? Make something that takes some effort to complete and give us the gun for it. If you want to add some catalyst that takes a few weeks to complete or add something like the ship you got from the whisper-dungeon that takes a while to complete.

1 답변If it takes a day for the next step that’s cool with me, but a week, that’s just too long.

작성자: EvelynWarden 10/31/2018 5:32:17 AMIt was a bad cliffhanger on a bad soap opera. "There's been a murder. A character that you may or may not remember from season one has died under mysterious circumstances. Join us this Halloween to hunt down 10 spooky vandals and see you next week." -_-

1 답변Don't know why everyone is so buttsore about it. Look at it like this. You have 3 weeks to build anticipation up before your hopes get crushed by how much they nerfed it into the ground. I bet this thing does less damage and slower damage than a trace rifle and will most likely have the range of a bad shotgun.

4 답변Timegating everything is what's effectively killing World of Warcraft at the moment, but apparently Bungie hasn't gotten the memo yet from the Activision HQ. Bungie can't deliver continous content in any other way, it's laughable.

2 답변Time gated? Mkay. Three weeks? Now there's a problem... I think I speak for a majority of some players when I say that we don't want another Polaris Lance situation going on here. 1 step per day is a more reasonable layout.

6 답변I don't really mind the time gate, i do mind that the quest step is piss easy. I just did one public and I was done. Very sad!

1 답변Don’t get me started on the quest I just get sick that no one cares about the idea that time gateing is allows but then again whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Welcome to destiny. This shit will only get worse. Let everyone get hyped up and then release a three week quest about the even with only one week of the event left. Instead of doing the logical thing and starting it at the beginning of the event. -blam!-ing idiots at bungie. Reminding us everyday that they are actively trying to give this game a bad reputation.

2 답변Wait wat? How do we know it's a weekly thing? I thought the quest was supposed to be started and finished before the event was over? Like, at the start of the final week we get an exotic quest that takes a few days to do and then we get whatever the reward is at the end (or whenever we manage to finish the quest...) Admittedly I would have preferred slightly more to do with it today as I have limited time since im away from my consoles for a while before the event ends, but I can see how being able to do the entire or almost entire quest on the day it came out would probably have also brought out the whining... So kinda a lose-lose situation for bungle really...

1 답변To be fair, we don't know if we have to wait a week. The next step could happen tomorrow.
