This is basically a rant, so go ahead and down vote if you want. I'm gonna try and make this rant as logical and reasonable as possible. Comp isn't comp. Apparently the community is saying its better than last season, but this isn't comp at all.
PVP comp should a test of skill between two teams. A bunch of sweaty nerds fighting for the win. This isn't that all. Destiny 2 competitive isn't a test of skill, just a test of luck. There's nothing fun about rolling the dice on whether or not you'll have teammates that won't AFK or leave in the middle of a match. It's just as boring if it happens on the opposing team.
In 2 weeks of grinding for the Luna's howl in comp, I hit max of 910. Needed one win for the week so I can chill out and let the 80 bonus points kick in next Tuesday so I can hit that 1k threshold. I lost the match I needed, because my team didn't play objective. Typical.
In 4 days of trying to grind back those 10 points, I lost 520 points. Yes, I did try 4 stacks, didn't work. Our stacks win 2-3 games, then as soon as we get that one lost, all communication just dies. Complacency just kicks in.
60% of my games TODAY were AFKs and leavers, on both teams. This happens so often, it's just becoming predictable. Even got paired up with a level 11 while the enemy had a 3 stack of rank 4400+. It's not even fair matchmaking. Then one teammate leaves the game.
There's nothing competitive about this mode, just AFKers and leavers. I love crucible, I have a lot of fun in crucible. I play crucible the most out of everything else in Destiny 2. Quickplay is great, I have a blast. Comp there's no fun, no competition, just all luck.
I'm crossing fingers that maybe Bungie will put a casual grind for something lesser in season 5 (Maybe Luna's Bark). I can't pull my hair out anymore for this weapon, it's not worth it.
Good luck to all those who's grinding it, especially solo.

2 답변Hitting fable was really easy for me, getting hand cannon kills is whats hard. I don’t use hand cannons very well, the biggest issue is the shotgun spam. I cant get hand cannon kills because everyone in comp relies on low skill shotguns to win games. The spam is real, I know the gun is OP and I know I can get it but I just spent 2 weeks grinding for the broadsword and I’m honestly just burned out.

작성자: Asylum 10/22/2018 2:18:07 PMI’m more annoyed that the redrixs quest makes you play 25 comp games. I don’t see any lunas howl steps in quickplay. Why punish people who don’t want comp? I’m 14 games in and have 40 glory pints. Having a great time.

Pvp sucks ass through a straw. The balancing is fine. But the lag sucks. Theres at least one guy every match that's lagging like crazy. And the team that lags is the team that wins. You can't damage them and they teleport practically anywhere. So much for actual skill. Nice job bungie. I take it the servers are working as intended. I can't grind the 5 valor resets with this bs. I think I'll just pay my 8 year old nephew milk and cookies to just run around the map. Win or lose I'll still rank up. Sure people will hate me but at least I'll keep my sanity. Iron banner is now called iron lag or laggy banner. Matchmaking wont be sbmm. Its lag based matchmaking. Whoever lags the most wins. Good job bungie! Ps5 will eventually come out. Bungie will still have p2p.

2 답변I’m fine with the Luna grind. Don’t have it, but working towards it. Your casual grind is the broadsword so just go for that.

2 답변Lol it’s extremely easy on Playstation There was way more sweats on PC, it’s literally cancer I find it hysterical when all these PS scrubs brag about the gun, when they have NO IDEA the sweat fest on Pc

Destiny just isn’t a true PVP focused game - there are good players, sure, but the game isn’t an eSport and since trials stopped, it’s just become a bit of a side show. I feel your pain, I’m not good enough to attempt the grind for this weapon, but even if I was I don’t think I would put myself through it!

It took me about a week to finish all the steps for luna's. I reached fabled after 4 days of playing for about 4 hours each day, and then the rest of it was helping to fireteam I picked up finish their steps and get to fabled, while also finishing the other steps in the quest. It isn't a hard gun to get, especially when you get invites to fireteams after a good match, so you don't have to run in solo every time.

작성자: ill skillz 10/21/2018 4:28:00 PM“Competitive” is a grind and nothing more. It was worse last season with less game modes and worse pvp mechanics. Couldn’t care less for the howl. I have better things to do in life than sweat that god awful game mode. Same as gambit another terrible mode forced down our throats

2 답변Luna’s Howl isn’t even the final form of the weapon. Not forgotten is better in terms of range, plus it still has the Magnificent Howl perk. To be honest, if I get killed by Not Forgotten, then props to the individual who went through comp hell for it.
A well trained sniper or shotgun ape can easily counter it as well, it’s just a dominant primary.
6 답변Gotta be honest, it was pretty easy. I solod most of it and only played with some randoms off lfg for maybe a few hundred points of it. What system are ya on? I'd be glad to help if on xb1.. Just stay positive... When you get negative that's when ya start to go on tilt and play worse.

3 답변작성자: Blargwahar 10/21/2018 12:04:09 AMYes it is. Luna's is a god-tier weapon. It may have a low-range stat, but it doesn't matter because the maps are small as dick anyways. It takes everything that's good about 180 rpm handcannons, and makes it better with a 3 shot kill. The thing melts in PvE against large health-pool enemies. The downside is the range in PvE, but if I REALLY want to fix that, I could just grind out Not Forgotten. It's not unachievable. I grinded mine out solo... without a trust. (Although I did complete AoS quest because I was getting pissed at the precision kills) The rank isn't anything too high. One of my friends started out around 1100 rank and couldn't go up, and he is now currently sitting at 2200 trying to finish the precision kills. For those that are still thinking about getting this gun, don't listen to this guy. Of the 2 curated weapon quests in the competitive playlist, this is by far the easier of the two. Check out #recruitment if you really need to and make a post. If you're in a clan, ask some of your members to help you out. It's not unachievable, and the reward is by far worth the work put in, in both PvE and PvP activities. Keep grinding!
Also, don't expect to get it in one day. If you are casual like me, it took about a week.
1 답변I just finished the quest a few days ago, solo. I did run into a lot of what you mentioned but you just have to keep plugging away. Just wait until you get to heroic rank. It’s ward cliff coil, Telstra, truth, blade barrage, nova warp spam.

As a solo player, and from my own experience, you don't start to hit an actual wall until 1800+. At that point, unless you hit a lucky streak, you'll need to find a team. The gun is worth it. Each time you lose a match or even an engagement, you need to think about what you could have done better as opposed to getting tilted and/or blaming your teammates. I recommend visiting crucible playbook if you're interested in advice/self-improvement.
