I think you’re confused. Gambit isn’t a team game. It’s really just meant to selfishly focus on milestones and bounties. If you’re going into Gambit hoping to win, you’ve already lost.

  • And this right here is the primary issue with ranking up when you hit legend. It's stopped giving rep for losses for literally no reason, you don't see that in crucible and while gambit is a "competitive" game mode, Bungie aren't treating it as such. The bounties give too little, especially the random weekly ones that give a whopping 50 rep for dumping 15 large blockers, 25 medium blockers and freaking 50 small ones... In that time the number of wins you COULD get could be 7+ or you could lose every -blam!-ing game cause bungo like forcing 50:50 win/loss ratios and forcing close games while not fixing matchmaking to actually balance the game that's supposed to be, "competitive". Rant over.

  • I only do the ones that work along with the flow of the game, because, yeah, the design of bounties in this game can be so flipping counterproductive sometimes.

  • I really do wish bounties weren't so counterproductive. Like, c'mon, all they do is push people to do the worst things. One wanted me to get grenade launcher multikills? Why would I do that instead of saving the heavy ammo for the Primeval, Bungie? Why would I waste that ammo on ads? Bounties should reward you for playing the objectives, not trying to kill a full team with nothing but only a Vestian Dynasty while having to kill single enemies each with a separate explosion from a rocket launcher, all while balancing on one leg. Feels like that, anyway.
