Telesto in Blind Well was a cheese. It was an unintended bug that could be abused.
Pushing Atheon and Templar off the cliff was a cheese. Bosses weren't supposed to be able to be herded off the maps.
Rocket strat is not a cheese. You're maxing DPS out as much as possible allowing you to effectively one phase Riven.
No different from one phasing other Raid Bosses in Destiny's history.
Argos w/o needing to destroy weak spots.
Morgeth w/o needing to interrupt his wipe mechanic.
Kalli, just like Riven can be killed without even doing any mechanics, yet that's a 'strat'.
Atheon can be killed without using his mechanics.
Calus, Golgoroth, Warpriest, Vosik, and Aksis can all be one phased and you can ignore mechanics with them.
You know how this is done?
Heavy DPS.
Riven, JUST like Kalli, can be damaged throughout the entire encounter. You're ALLOWED to deal this much damage if you possibly can. Therefore, it's NOT a cheese. It's a strat.
Comparing actually damaging a Raid boss to just forcing one off the edge of the map is two completely different scenarios.
