STOP SPENDING SHARDS ON SPIDERS MASTERWORK CORES.
On days like today, you want to buy Simulation Seeds from Spider. Buy 100-200 Shards worth, which is 500-1000 Seeds, or 10-20 packages at a time.
The reason for using Simulation Seeds is because the shaders from leveling Vance dismantle into Shards, unlike the other vendors. Ive heard Mars does the same thing but haven't tried on Mars.
Trade them all to Brother Vance on Mercury and break down everything, even the shaders. Among a few cores per run, you will get all of your shards back, give or take a couple each time. Rinse and Repeat until satisfied.
Starting with only 225 Shards, Ive gotten 90 Cores today in 4 ish hours. And I still have 72 Shards left. So basically, 153 shards turned into 90 cores. That would have only bought you 4 through Spider in one day.
Its tedious, and not particularly quick, but better than 3 cores a day for 70 shards. This is NOT a cheese or glitch, but rather taking advantage of the material economy that Bungie gave to us..
INB4 People come in saying some youtuber posted this already, not everyone watches youtube, so Im spreading the word in Text here on these forums. Help each other.
EDIT:
This is still an RNG based farm. Know that some of you will see better returns than others. I got very lucky and had a few packages that even dropped double masterworked drops. Also note that masterworked gear can drop 1-3 cores each, so some of you will get 1 while others will get 3. I recommended using small amounts like 100-200 shards at a time so you can test your luck rather than dumping 1000+ and seeing terrible returns. This method is the very definition of Gambling. Someone in the comments averaged out at 12 shards per core, as to where someone else claimed they averaged 70 shards per core. Person 1 got a good deal, person 2 not so much. Again, it's RNG.
2 답변Just confirmed, this works with Ana Bray as well. 3 cores & 5 mod components for a cost of 33 shards...

2 답변This works almost as well as it did on the YouTube vid that came up with the idea. As in not worth the time at all.

1 답변I did this strategy, turned in over 800 Seeds, and didn't get a single Masterwork item out of it. Not sure if my RNG was just terrible, or Bungie has caught onto this and ninja nerfed Masterwork item drop rate.

1 답변Commendable guardian, but I will save my shards and wait for the fix bungie is putting in.

작성자: ││█║▌│ 10/5/2018 1:37:59 PMOut of 5k+ seeds I got 7 cores, and always got 100+ less shards each time, but I also got a load of mod components and Gunsmith materials. It is worth it even if I don't get many cores. Overall it costs me less to play a little a day and buy a few cores each reset. But, like I said, it is worth it for the mods and Gunsmith materials.

5 답변MW are meant to upgrade not to infuse bungie! You cant make the game and grinding "longer" just because of this. Its been 4 years now and yet you guys still never learned anything.

1 답변While I endorse this method, if anything it goes to show the costs of MWC with Spider should not increase per purchase. The fact that this method can average their cost down to 10-15 shards each completely negates the need to double the price of purchasing them from Spider. Bungie really messed up their economy with Forsaken. All we're doing is finding loop holes, and everybody hates loop holes, either because it's more work when it shouldn't be, or because it circumvents Bungie systems because the systems themselves are awful.

작성자: UNDEAD10000 10/5/2018 12:00:19 PMI'm struggling with masterwork cores but i still won't use this method either because i have like less then 100 of legendary shards and i don't care about masterwork cores either, when Bungie don't want people infuse their gear so i'm doing just that never infuse gears.

7 답변작성자: Tengu 10/5/2018 6:02:30 AM200 shards down. Zero cores. I'm really getting sick of this effing game. Its just broken all around and still lacking in content. I'm still at only 530 power because all my powerful engrams have been below my power level for weeks. The only way i was able to bump it up was through a couple of quests that force drops.

3 답변The fact that it is necessary to do this to possibly get enough cores to do basic upgrades for you Power/Light level is clear evidence the Masterwork system is completely and utterly broken. I will wait for the TWAB for Bungie to give us our weekly disappointment on the Masterwork core situation by either giving us a non-anwser/non-solution or completely ignoring the problem altogether.

4 답변It's posts like this that make me stick around lol. Are you guys seriously trying to find ways to cheese the game because your developers won't listen to you? You're forcing ways to have fun because the developer won't let you. AAA game hahahaha
