I've been playing since the dlc came out and got 3-4 YEAR ONE exotics. Like what a slap in the face i have zero motivation left due to keep playing if i never get rewarded. I play almost everyday too so i dont understand how a loot system could be so shit

It doesn’t seem there’s many year 2 non-quest exotics to begin with, so knowing that, they inflated the rarity with RNG to make sure players didn’t run out of things to grind for. They’re been pulling these tactics since Warmind with exotic weapon catalysts and the randomness of sleeper nodes. They either didn’t want to invest the time in a broader exotic pool, or didn’t want to invest the time to work out more reasonable drop rates. Frankly, neither is an appropriate excuse. I find it absolutely insanely backwards thinking in a loot driven game to make gear with actual impact on gameplay so rare that it becomes exists purely for the chase. If you don’t have things to do with the loot once you get it, or no longer care about the game once it drops, then what really does the exact nature of the loot drop matter in the first place? That’s why I hate when developers try and tune loot systems around people who are in the loot hunt more for the chase than for using the loot to play the game; it breaks the experience for everyone else in unhealthy ways. It’s fine to make people put some work and investment into cool, worthwhile loot. But RNG mechanics are not the way to implement that; quest chains are.

The exotic pool is diluted by older exotics. Couple that with the extremely diminished drop rate and the new exotics will be a needle in a haystack. I imagine the newer players will be more excited with every drop since it will all be new. I can understand the thought process to an extent as to what they wanted to achieve with this drop rate change. The problem is they went from full throttle to a complete stop. They could have trimmed the drop rate a little but not the extreme that they did. Random rolls coming back is excellent and I think they should have included some with exotics as well. I think the drop rate adjustment wasn't really needed as much as some random perks to spice them up a bit. This would make duplicates more desirable outside "possible" infusion fuel. That's my take on it anyhow.

1 답변How many hours of play do you have since forsaken dropped? If you say less than 100 then be prepared for it to sti be a while.

And there not changing it . A small buff maybe but nothing like year one. Bungie doesn’t understand middle ground . It’s either way to simple or requires you to play full time. What a joke . Sorry about your bad luck.

5 답변Not being rewarded for my time is the number one reason why I left D2. I left long before the dlc arrived and I still don't think I made the wrong choice. Especially after reading so many posts about exotics never dropping. With that said, I hope you get some exotic drops especially after Bungie supposedly "fixed" this issue or will be addressing it in an upcoming patch.

25 답변I mean.....some ppl went an entire 3 years without the gally....some ppl didnt even get the gally til D2 came out. Some ppl didn't even get fatebringer. Some ppl never got Necrochasm...( i only just got the Borealis thru fated engram ) Here you are bitching about a month....pfft... "lacking motivation" - ahhhhhh another "reward my time played"!!!!!!! Shouldn't be JUST about play time. I shouldn't be able to do PE for 10 hrs a day and hit max/all exotics/etc... Also it's a video game, purely for enjoyment...THAT's ALL. So if you lack motivation to enjoy your time spent, that is definitely a "gamer issue".

1 답변600, 599, and a 590 something... only actual new exotic drop I have is the Cerebus +1. At this rate I will have all the Forsaken exotics sometime next year. The less you play the more you get.
How am i a month into forsaken without ONE year 2 exotic
Hmmm... I dunno, maybe because they're called "exotics"? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Seriously though, I don't think the rarity is a problem. Maybe they should add some code so it's less likely to get a year 1 exotic, but other than that it's just fine. As the title suggests, they're supposed to feel rare.

5 답변Why havent you done the exotic quests for Ace of spades and Chaperone? If you have completed it then you are just really really unlucky.. I have a few forsaken exotics and I am happy the drop rate is the way it is. Quit crying you crybaby snowflake.

1 답변I know the feeling, they are working on it but it does feel like the fix can't come soon enough. at least I could get my hands on the quest exotics. Otherwise, I would be getting angry at this point. I don't understand why Bungie felt the need to nerf the Fated engram it was a way to guarantee the new loot so people don't get it this repeated old loot rut.

Bungie: “Working as intended. We wanted them to “feel” exotic so instead of making them “feel” truly exotic we slashed the drop rates, limited where you can get them and oh, we threw in a lot of recycled oldies, no not the ones you wanted but we’re sure you’ll love them now. Limited production, that’s how we make the exotics exotic.”

8 답변RNG means you might never receive a Forsaken exotic as a drop. RNG means you might never fight the meatball butthole to start the Malfeasance quest. RNG means you might be 10 light levels lower than someone who played the same content. RNG will always be a terrible way to reward players.
