So a lot of people that are having the same issue as me for the last two days are saying that we all live in the midwest (Ohio) and have WOW as our ISP. I'm going to call their customer service line right now and chew them out because it seems they've decided they need to throttle service to Blizzard/Bungie. Please do the same and maybe we'll all get this sorted out. I feel I need to apologize to Bungie now as it's looking more and more like $hitty business practices by my ISP than any network issues. I'm going to be switching ISPs as soon as possible

2 답변So far tonight, I'm not seeing any latency issues when running trace routes to Bungie servers. If you want to see the raw number differences, you can see my latest post in this thread. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/248879896?sort=0&page=0 As I stated there, the 9PM to midnight will be the real test. Also I haven't actually logged in and tried to play. I'm just looking at trace routes for now and will log in later.

I sent a complaint email to wow over the weekend and got this response “We are definitely not throttling any speeds or performance and actually are supporters of net neutrality. Early this morning, my network engineers have reported that in our Ohio and Michigan markets, the evening hours (peak usage times) are seeing latency and slower speeds. They are currently working on a resolution. I have actually spoken to multiple customer in regards to just Destiny 2, but have not determined if the issue is solely in the markets I mentioned. I have advised any customers that are having issues with this game to contact either Sony or Microsoft and attempt to gain information regarding port forwarding to provide to us. If the issue is due to a firewall restriction or in relation to these latency and speed issues, we will determine and resolve what is causing it. If you would like to respond to this email with the requested port number, I can attempt to open them for you.” Thank you, Tony DiGioacchino Peer Development Specialist WOW! internet, cable & phone --------------------------------------------------------------

2 답변Been following these WOW shenanigans across multiple forums. Sounds like they've isolated the issue, but it's bad fiber at one of the handoff nodes. No word yet that I've seen on what that means for a timeline.

2 답변작성자: Marcus_Soul 10/1/2018 2:44:24 AMThis is hour 3 for me. it started at 7pm EST and I'm broadcasting it on my youtube now. Link is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GAMsEl4Rx0 So I called them and they said they are getting lots of complaints about this. the rep stated the problem is not with WOW, but with Sony not giving them enough ports to work with, hence the latency/heavy load, which usually occur right around the evening. I'm still broadcasting, for my records.

Happening to me as well. Live in eastern Michigan and have WOW! There was a massive outage last week that supposedly knocked out like the entirety of WOW!'s east coast coverage, including Michigan. They got it all up after 12-ish hours but I wonder if that has anything to do with this.

6 답변To anyone having this issue, I encourage you to contact WOW technical support and have them test connectivity to the follow IP ranges (Bungie's servers) and confirm any latency or packet loss. Analyzing the routing is the only way they can determine root cause; Netblock Description Num IPs 172.97.56.0/22 Bungie Inc. 1,024 205.209.16.0/21 Bungie Inc. 2,048 205.209.20.0/24 Bungie Inc. 256 205.209.21.0/24 Bungie Inc. 256 205.234.118.0/23 Bungie Inc. 512

11 답변작성자: Tribunal 9/30/2018 1:16:43 AMSaturday night subthread: 7:00 PM EST in Columbus, and so far playable. If you start to have issues, post time and location under this response. UPDATE: 9:15 PM EST. It just went south. Things were slow, but working in the tower, then I switched zones, and we're back to no vendors. Also check out BoomKelly's thread here for trace route testing, as well as response from my own tests. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/248879896?sort=0&page=0

작성자: Tribunal 9/30/2018 10:02:12 PMSo bad news. They have no idea what the issue is and can't replicate it internally. They've opened a ticket with their vendor on 9/28 and that's all they could tell me. When I told them that I could replicate it on demand, the tech decided to have someone come out to my house to test on site, but the soonest they could get someone here is Tuesday afternoon. So to those who are having this issue, let me share with you some brass tacks. I pay roughly $40/mo for my internet (no cable or phone). For that I get 30mbps down, 5mbps up. For being part of this issue, they offered to reduce my bill for one year to $30/mo for the same speeds, or keep the current rate and upgrade to a higher speed. I didn't ask about the higher speed because I'll take the money. If this is affecting you, see if you can get your rates reduced.

1 답변It's started again for me. I'm in Southern Indiana and use WOW. No more Destiny for the night I guess.

3 답변I called WOW again last night and tech support was aware of the issue and claimed they were working on it. It does seem like an improvement from the nights before.
-
I am also still experiencing these issues. I really hope they actually are acknowledging this now. I have heard that they are "aware of the issue" but the last time I called the techs they seemed to have no clue what I was talking about.

They aren't throttling, they are just extremely inefficient with routing. They are having issue with level 3. This is the latest info.
Looks to be issues with the Level 3 DIAs. Traffic is shifting around. It’s in emergency status so engineers are working on it.
Been going on for 3 nights. Tonight it started affecting game servers worse.

1 답변DM them your location and issue on twitter. Here is a decent message: (@wowcare) Area: ... (include your zip) Issue: Every night since Wednesday starting at around 8:00 PM EST and going to 11:00 PM EST (peak North American night hours) I am unable to connect to any multiplayer game on my Xbox One that requires Internet connection (Specifically Destiny 2). I know this issue is not a Xbox Live or Destiny 2 issue because this is only happening to Wow customers (widespread discussions over the game’s forums on the issue) and my friends who do not have Wow internet are not experiencing this issue at all. Any help is greatly appreciated, I hope the situation can be resolved soon.
