1 답변This is my theory, which I believe to be very possible. The exos were designed as war machines. Clovis Bray forcibly wiped them from time to time to keep them more servile. The Long Slow Whisper is Destiny's version of Order 66. The thing that will remove all free will and turn them into remorseless killing machines. This is why Cayde says this information would be very bad to certain entities if it was made public.

1 답변The eternity of death whispering in your ear. For the exo’s they touch this moment with each reboot but never stay there, this their memories of it are broken and they seek the truth. I imagine it to be like the white light we associate with near death experiences. Cayde seems to know there’s a conspiracy around the crypt tho.

Had a post about it a while ago, it never got attention, so... My hypothesis is that the Whisper was something to help keep the Exo’s from needing to be reset, by using a calm, slow whisper. Evidently something went wrong with those Whispers, so that’s why Cayde talks about it like a secret. Also, surprised more people aren’t talking about this: Cayde talks about the creators of the Deep Stone Crypt as if they’re alive. Perhaps one of the creators got resurrected as a Guardian.
